What it looks like when used: Enemy is swarmed by a varying number of bug Pokemon (the little mini-icons of the pokemon actually fly/crawl in and circle around the enemy, then ram them and fly/crawl away)

This works differently in link battles than in normal battles.

Normal battles: the game looks at how many different kinds of Bug pokemon appear in the two areas closest to the place where the fight is happening. For each different bug (includes the user of the attack, if they don't appear in the wild there), the attack hits one more time with a different power, depending on the strength of the bug.

Caterpie, Weedle, Metapod, Kakuna, other really weak low-leveled bugs: 10 power

Venonat, Paras, etc. (low-leveled but not as weak): 20 power

Butterfree, Beedrill, etc. (evolved bugs that are still somewhat weak): 30 power

Venomoth, Parasect, Shuckle, etc. (decent non-evolving bugs and evolved bugs): 40 power

Scyther, Pinsir, Heracross, etc. (high-level, rare, powerful bugs): 50 power

Scizor, etc. (super-strong/legendary bugs, or those evolved from bugs on the Beedrill, Venomoth, Scyther levels): 60 power

Link battles: Same as above, but picks which bugs attack randomly.

Also: There are limits on the attack. Pokemon level 30 or below can't get more than 3 hits with it, even if more than 3 bug types appear in the area. From L.31 to L.60, the max number of hits is 6. From L.61 to L.90, it's 9 {this includes bugs found durng the day AND at night. So you might get Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, Kakuna, Spinarak, Ariados, Ledyba, Ledian, and something else for 9 hits. Obviously, this attack would be much better in foresty areas...}. Above level 90, there's no limit to the number of hits, but after 9 hits, the accuracy goes down slightly (about 10% less with each hit, so at 10 hits it's only slightly more accurate than Thunder, at 12 it's around Zap Cannon, etc.) with every hit. The level limits apply to link battles and normal battles.

Also.. with Blight, you might want to change it a little with the "only bug types" thing, since usually, you're only going to have one bug per team... a 1-hit Beat Up would be way to weak to even consider using. Maybe raise the power per hit some, like to 40 or maybe 50 (since Beat Up seems to ignore the same-type bonus anyway, it wouldn't be too overpowered.. especially not when it's only hitting once or maybe twice for all but the buggiest teams)
