Now that alot of info regarding D/P is known, and now that Page 6 is up, we will resume approving pokmon pretty soon.
Since it has been a while since we've approved a pokmon, we though it'd be nice to do a little something special with the first pokmon to be approved, #FA201.
Therefore, we're holding this contest ~_^
The idea of this "Encyclopedia Contest" is to come up with a more in-depth suggestion for a pokmon: instead of the general required info, participants should come up with full encyclopedia-style info for their suggestion, describing the behaviour of an entire species of pokmon.
If you'd like to enter this contest, you should come up with the following information for your pokmon which, we hope, is pretty fun to come up with. The ones in bold should be the encyclopedia styled ones and should be at least some sentences long:
01. Name
02. Scientific Name: A description in Latin of your pokmon, this online dictionary could be used for this. For example, ShinE's scientific name is Littera Fulgidus which means 'shining letter' :P (Don't worry if you find this part too hard, it's really just for fun, so just give it a go.)
03. Classification
04. Type(s)
05. HT/WT
06. Ability/ies
07. Egg Group: see the site for PF's egg groups
08. Male/Female ratio: can we found more of either gender in the wild? And if one of the two is more common than the other, why?
09. PokDex Date: 6 lines of 34 characters
10. Description: how does the pokmon look? A well-detailed encyclopedia-style description
11. Habitat: where does the pokmon live; in what kinds of areas, and where in Bombur?
12. Diet: what does the pokmon eat? And how does it tend to get its meal?
13. Stats: your pokmon's base stats
14. Behaviour: what does the pokmon do during day/night; how is its relationship with other pokmon in its area; does it live in groups or on its own?
15. Offspring: egg or a nest of siblings; how does the pokmon attract a mate?
16. Move List
17. Evolution: this is only required when you win the contest; see below
Now, we're aiming in this contest for a relatively small, simple and common pokmon. Think Sandshrew, Vulpix, Rattata or Ekans, to name some examples.
The winner:
- will get his/her suggestion made as #FA201
- is allowed (and required :P) to provide his/her pokmon with one evolution ahead of it that pokmon will be #FA202
- will get an instant SuperDex entry of his/her pokmon
One more thing that really can't be stressed enough: don't rush! Give your entry a long and good thought and try and make it not too short. Entries will be judged on originality and believableness. And let me say this one more time: We will not accept rushed entries: they will be turned down without a second glance.
And, in case anyone was wondering, everybody is allowed one entry. Staff members will be judges and are excluded from participation.
With all that, have fun and good luck to all participants!
