Here is my suggestion for a magic-flying type pokemon. Here goes.
Name: Magicaile (The "c" is pronounced like an "sh") The name is derived from Magician and Aile, the French word for wing.
Species: Magic Bird Pokemon.
Type: Magic/Flying
Description: OK, so. It looks a lot like a Blue Tit, except it's a darker blue and a gold chest, rather than yellow. There is a tuft of feathers on it's head which look a lot like a wide brimmed wizard's hat.
The ends of its short, stubby wings are white tipped, like a stereotypical wand. It has short, quite stubby legs with a basic three toed bird's claw.
It has big, soulful yellow eyes.
Special Ability: Early Bird
Pokedex Entry:
Magicaile often fly around in
seemingly random circles. It is
said that this is the birds way of

cursing their foes. Magicaile are
very proud of themselves, and
will boast to other birds.

Evolution: Evolves into Wachrane at level 20 while awake.
Evolves into Schlafrane with at level 20 while asleep.
Now, the first evolution of Magicaile.
Name: Wachrane, derived from Wach, German for awake, and Crane.
Species: Insomniac Pokemon
Type: Magic/Flying
Description: This lovely bird is a Crane. It's very dishevelled. It has quite long legs with a similar footprint to it's pre-evo. Wachrane is coloured a very dark purple, with a gold chest.
It's wings are a lot longer, and they have gold tips rather than white.
It has very bloodshot, sleepy eyes, due to lack of sleep.
The "hat" is still there, although now it's very drooped.
Special Ability: Insomnia.
Pokedex Entry:
Wachrane are all insomniacs,
so they can never sleep. They

have developed a way of not
needing sleep, though this is
currently unknown.
Height: 3'30"
Weight: 20 lbs.
And now:
Name: Schlafrane, derived from Schlaf, the German word for sleep, and Crane.
Species: Comatose Pokemon.
Type: Magic/Flying
Description: A crane. It looks quite neat and tidy. It's coloured light blue and has a white chest with blue stripes, like stereotypical pyjamas. It has a very Similar legs and footprint to Wachrane.
Its wings are always folded in. They are much smaller than Wachranes, but longer than Magicailes. The wings make the shape of a moon.
It's "hat" has become a sleeping cap. It's eyes are closed, and Schlafrane's head is drooping down because it's falling asleep.
Special Ability: Truant.
Are we allowed to invent our own Special Ability? If so, I'd like to have "Exhausted": Pokemon falls asleep every four turns.
Pokedex Entry:
Schlafrane sleeps almost all the
time. It only wakes to feed or
battle. If its wings flap in its

sleep, it is having visions of
the future in it's dreams, and
will wake in panic soon after.
