Eh, no...Gloom and Vileplume DO NOT look almost exactly alike...only somewhat similar. That's how it is with evos & alternate evos. They can either look somewhat similar (such as Pichu to Pikachu), vaguely alike (ex. Pikachu to Raichu), or nigh nothing alike (think Magikarp & Gyrados). Pokmon are unique indeed...^u^

Why should it? It's not supposed to look a bloody frelling thing like a Gloom, so it shouldn't necesarily have the same colors. Evelutions don't always have to look alike.

As for Gloom evolving into so much? It's still two behind Eevee.

I do like this idea, but one thing bothers me. I think we should change the classification to "Wedding" instead of "Bride" because, i obviously would not like a Male "bride pokemon".....

Actually, the rules against over-branching a family don't just mention Eevee, and they don't present it as an acceptable limit either:

It would be cute if the pre-evo looked like a flower girl, because it would tie inot the plant element and it has to do with a wedding.

...but then it would look odd if it was a male. :/ is there a young person involved in a wedding that can look non-gender-specific?

Well... Actually, I have a different idea. One dex. Two pictures. Spinda and unown have already proven the point that the dex is capable of storing different images for certain pokemon (It stores the image of the first one you catch). All we need to do is figure out a good dex for either gender, then do some Chesset-esque coding with equal chances to see either picture.

A R/S Pokemon. Every Spinda has a different spot pattern. The first one you encounter is the one shown in the PokeDex.

There are like 6 million spot patterns, I've heard.
