PPS: I've realised that the organisms you've used along this line descend in size. Why not have this set of mons also decrease in size as it evolves (e.g. 8 inches -> 6 inches -> 4 inches)? it'd be a novel thing to do

You know what, I'm full of guff and should look at what I read more closely. Bacteria are their own domain, and both Amoeba and Euglena are in the domain Eukaryota and are also in the paraphyletic "Kingdom", Protista. With that cleared up, I can't simply let you be so laissez-faire as to let nucleated cellular life become non-nucleated at the drop of a hat. Seeing as you said you'd like to keep bactiny as-is, it would be more appropriate to have a line of bacteria, that evolve into progressively deadlier varieties. Alternatively, you could have Smallmoeba evolve into something that isn't Euglittle, and then into say, the protozoan that causes malaria. Or, you could keep Smallmoeba and Euglittle, and then have that become some sort of Dinoflagellate, since they're spiky and tough-looking, usually.

One more thing! I just realized that PF already created a virtual egg group for such outliers as Porygon and company. As such, An egg group for bacteria and other cellular lifeforms is not actually out of the question! I apologize for assuming that it wasn't.

Aha, that is a pretty neat evolution method, and the movelist's decent too. You're gonna have to find a better classification though, trying to stuff "Dinoflagellate" into a thirteen-character space is just messy-looking. Also I'd have to argue against Iron Barbs, your own description has the mon covered in rock instead of metal. It would be more prudent to retain Water Absorb, since as a Water/Rock-type it no longer resists water attacks.

@Flarsable: as of gen 5 the classification is 13 spaces long, as can be seen in Emboar, the Mega Fire Pig Pokemon.
I think it would be best to replace Iron Barbs with Water Absorb and keep Spiked Armor; I'm less bothered about move-type flavour synergy since so many mons learn things counter to what you know about them (again consider Emboar, who is the only natural Fire-type capable of learning a damaging Water-type move in Scald). Furthermore, having Spiked Armor AND Iron Barbs/Rough Skin is a mean idea, considering that the logical thing to do there would be to give it another Rocky Helmet to wear. With that on, any opponents that make contact would be suffering residual damage from three separate sources, and I don't know if you've ever fought Ferrothorn online or whatever, but I can vouch for the deep, deep wounds they can inflict with just Rocky Helmet and Iron Barbs. Having all three active is just too much.
now that I mention it, I suppose I should go and remove Spiked Armor from all the mons that DO have those abilities~~
