The Return attack hit Wheatvil again, and he slid backwards, trying to stay on his feet. "Hm. Interesting. Wheatvil, use Mega Drain to retrieve some health." Wheatvil nodded and began glowing, attempting to steal health from Eevee.

"Hurry, Eevee, Quick Attack!"
Eevee charged at the bug Pokemon at full speed, even when her energy was being drained. Suddenly, the red glow returned on Eevee, and, in total irritation, tripped and flung herself at Wheatvil.

Wheatvil hopped aside from the stumbling charge, watching as Eevee tripped by him. "This doesn't seem to be going well for you, miss. Use Bullet Seed while Eevee is close, Wheatvil." Wheatvil spun around and began spitting a flurry of seeds towards Eevee.

"That's what you think! Eevee, Return!"
Eevee then swung around with her tail glowing pink, heading straight for Wheatvil and being bombarded by the incoming seeds.

Wheatvil, still close to Eevee, was unable to dodge the swinging tail as hit hit him in the chest. He flew backwards, skidding across the ground before clumsily landing on his feet. Arby frowned for a moment, then issued a command. "Wheatvil, fly away and use Mega Drain again." The bug Pokémon stumbled a bit, then opened his wings and flew backwards, emitting the green light once more.

Eevee was swallowed by the swarm of insects, and she tried to shake it off. Suddenly, the redness appeared again.
"Eevee, try a Quick Attack!"
Eevee then burst through the swarm, still glowing red, straight towards the Wheatvil.

(Can this be a draw?)

(That'd be a good idea. Because of the town's trainers being the most powerful in the whole city, I'm basically trying to drive home the point that its not going to be easy to just run through and crush them all, unless you do a lot of training.)
Wheatvil was struck hard, falling to the ground unconscious. Eevee, drained of energy from the Mega Drain, fell as well. Arby's eyebrows raised, and he pulled out Wheatvil's Pokéball. "I must say, this is quite a surprise. Nobody has come close to defeating me for quite a while." He gave a small smile, and called back Wheatvil. "What say we call this one a draw, hm?"

(Vivasha's PoV)
I picked up Eevee and cuddled her in my arms, telling her that she did amazing.
"Yes, we can call it a draw. I must say, for a small Pokemon, Wheatvil is an incredible powerful Pokemon."

"Vivasha, I didn't know your Eevee can learn Return at an early level. You both did well in battle. So, Arby, can we let you and your Pokemon rest, and the two of us can battle tomorrow?"

"Yes, I've had Wheatvil here for a long time. Snover and Roselia are ones I've just picked up on my travels, so they're unfortunately not up to par at the moment." Arby placed his Pokéballs on his belt and tilted his hat to Rikasho. "I'd be glad to fight you, sir. If you're as strong as your friend here, I might do some training tonight." He gestured towards the Pokécenter. "If you don't have other arrangements, there are rooms available there. Now if you'll excuse me, I must be leaving now. Good day to you both." Arby tipped his hat to the duo and walked away towards a row of houses.

"Thank you, Arby. Then we shall battle tonight!"
I then gestured towards Vivasha.
"So, m'lady, shall we get our rooms and rest your tired Pokemon?"
With a blush on her face, she replied in a giggly voice: "But of course, my fair knight."

Later that night, we were in our room. Unfortunately, they only had one room available; luckily, it had two beds, one for each of us. As Firmole and Smoal snuggled together, along with Taurnero, Staravia, Shinx, and Eevee, I studied a bit on my upcoming battle.
"Don't you need some sleep?"
Vivasha was so close that I didn't even hear her getting ready for bed, and I jumped a little bit.
"Well, I need to prepare for my battle against Arby tomorrow. Ok then, if I can save Firmole for when he uses Wheatvil, then that will give me a major advantage. But if he manages to take out Firmole then-"
Suddenly Vivasha's arms wrapped around mine, and she whispered in my ear:
"You think too much. Just get some sleep soon, okay sweety?"
And with that, she gave me a small kiss on the cheek. It was a small peck, but it made my stomach turn in a thousand knots.

That morning, we arrived at the battle area where Vivasha had battled Arby just yesterday.
"Hey Arby!" I cried. "You out here?"

There was silence for a few moments, then Arby walked out onto the field, scratching his head and fixing his hat. "Good morning to you too, sir. It's good to see you're so ecstatic about our battle." He stopped opposite of Rikasho, tapping his belt for a few moments. "Well then, shall we get on with it?" He took a Pokéball off his belt and tossed it out, revealing the familiar flower Pokémon. "Roselia!"

"Alright then; Taurnero, go!"
The little calf Pokemon popped out of his Pokeball, and, after snorting in determination, pawed his hoof onto the ground.
"Taurnero, Stomp!"
Taurnero charged at Roselia, and then jumped, charging his blue-colored hoof towards the Rose Pokemon.

Roselia spun out of the way of the charging bull, sliding to the side to avoid the attack. "Very good, Roselia. Use Mega Drain." Roselia nodded and began glowing, draining health from Taurnero.

Taurnero, still young an inexperienced, got his health sapped away, and he was struggling badly to get away.
"Taurnero, quick, Heatbutt!"
Taurnero's head glowed a light blue color, and then swung his head towards the Roselia; unfortunately, he tripped and fell on his face.

Arby smirked, shaking his head. "Young one, I presume? Roselia, Sleep Powder." The rose Pokémon nodded and sprayed a mist of powder towards Taurnero.

"Quick Taurnero, get up and dodge it!"
Taurnero got up, and shook his head, but the powder hit him and he fell asleep. Running out of options, I recalled Taurnero and sent out Shinx.
"Shinx, Charge!"
Shinx then glowed in blue electricity.

"Roselia, use Spikes to keep him from switching out so much." Roselia pointed a flower towards Shinx and launched a flurry of thorns that imbedded themselves in the ground, making the surrounding area dangerous.

"I don't think I'll need to worry about Spikes for a while...Shinx, Spark!"
Then Shinx leaped around, creating a thunderous roar with each landing, until it leaped again and dived towards Roselia.

Shinx hit Roselia, sending her flying back. She landed on her feet, glaring at the little Pokémon. "Roselia, use Razor Leaf on Shinx." She nodded and spun, launching a flurry of leaves towards Shinx.

The cackling electricity surrounding Shinx protected him from a few of the Razor Leaf attacks, but not enough, as the leaves bombarded the little Lion Cub Pokemon when the electricity died.
"Shinx, try a Bite attack!"
Shinx's teeth glowed white, and he pounced at Roselia, with his mouth wide open.
