((My apologies for the delay. University stuff has given me headache after headache after migraine headache.))

Recognizing the threat that the Electric attack posed to the bird PKMN, Aaron had to think quickly and shouted, "Barrel Roll out of the way!"

Nevermore flipped itself over, accelerating in a horizontal direction out of the arcing electricity's path. However, Aaron had hesitated a tad too long; one of the PKMN's wingtips was clipped as it spun. "Drat!" exclaimed the Gym Leader. He would have to become extra resourceful after such a development.

Out of desperation and hoping to act before the paralysis really set in, Aaron commanded the dark-plumed PKMN, "Tackle! Quickly!" Subsequently, the PKMN flew speedily towards its opponent, doing its best to ignore the random, residual sparks.

"Dratini prepare to use Warp!"

Dratini; knowing the end was coming soon, ignored her commends. She simply swung her tail at the incoming Nevermore's head, attempting to swat it away.

Aaron knew his partner would be able to understand the opponent's orders, but neither he nor Nevermore could have been prepared for a surprise tactic like the one Dratini implemented. The dragon PKMN's tail swung and connected squarely with the side of the dark-plumed PKMN's head.

Paralyzed from before and hurt badly by the critically-placed blow of its opponent, the black bird tried to get up, straining itself. However, despite the pleas of Aaron to continue, it could not. Nevermore's body went limp and, before it could make contact with the ground, Aaron recalled it to its Pokeball.

Shaking himself off, the blonde lab assistant strolled across the arena to his challenger, the victor, and stuck out his hand. In it was located a small, shiny, polygonal object.

Congratulations! Moss has received the Panorama Badge!

Moss accepted the badge.

"Thank you."

He pulled out a Pokeball and recalled Dratini. He walked out o the lab a little shaken from the battle. He stopped in front of the PokeCenter and entered.

"Can you please heal my Pokemom?" He asked the nurse. Handing over his Pokeball. "Thanks."

Before Moss had the chance to leave, Aaron burst through the Pokecenter doors, panting. He ran over to the young man and handed him a small, booklike, red device.

"This is a Pokedex," he explained, "With it you can look up information on the many creatures located throughout Bombur on your journey. It also has a feature that allows you to have a direct line to the lab and whoever is in it should you need it. That last part is a new feature I added myself. Anyway, I wish you the best on your journey. To health and adventure!"

After this strange toast he hastily left the Pokecenter to return to whatever it was he was doing.

"... Uh..."

Moss looked at the Pokedex in his hands. It's metallic gleam, being suffocated by the red paint covering it. Moss noticed the nurse nudging the tray with the single Pokeball towards him. He quickly scooped the Pokeball.

"Thanks again." He said while walking out of the PokeCenter.

He stood there for a few seconds, taking in the view of the ships coming and going out of port.

"Dratini come on out!"

Dratini shot of her Pokeball. She slithered up Moss' body, and relaxed on his shoulder.

"Take in the view, we're leaving."

"Dra, dratini-i."

Moss figured she was ready to go too. Moss walked down the street, entering a small building. In it was a counter, behind stood a guard who looked like he had better things to do. Not wanting to disturb him, he went to the sign on the other side of the building.

"Route A." The sign read.

"Here we go." Moss said to Dratini. He walked through the door-less doorway and stood in front of a wide-open space, abundant with grass, and wild Pokemon. "This won't be easy."
