       Off the shore of Johto S.S. Bombur starts its way to Bombur. Many trainers are upset to be leaveing Johto to go to a land so far away but not Moss. Moss was looking for a chance to study some new Dragon-Types and what better way then to go to a new region. Moss waves his last goodbye to mom and dad and heads to his cabin. Moss released Dratini from her pokeball.
     "Well Dratini ready to go to Bombur"
     " Driiiiii"
     " Haha i knew you were come on lets get to our cabin"
    Corridor after corridor all the same finally Moss found his door and after a fight with getting the key into the lock Moss was in his room. The first thing he did was filled up the tub with slightly warm water and put Dratini in it he doesn't believe in pokeballs and only uses them in times of need.
     " There you go Dratini you can relax in here call me when you want to come out"
     "Driiii"
     " I'm gonna go lay down"
     Moss put his suitcase on the bed and opened it and took out his pajamas. He sliped into his bed and instead of just laying down he fell asleep luckily Dratini didn't mind she fell asleep the minute he left the room.

Moss woke to a loud knock on the door.
       "GET UP ALREADY!!!!!!"
       His voice sounded like air flowing through ice. Hollow and unforgiving. Moss was kinda scared to open the door but forced himself up anyway. before opening the door he woke up Dratini just in case.
       "HURRY UP AND OPEN THE DOOR!!!!"
The unknown person started to pound the door again Moss thought for sure if he makes that man wait any longer he's gonna need a new door.
       "I'm coming" I yelled back I tryed to say that as nicely as possible but it wasn't easy
        Moss started to the door but when I grabbed the doorknob it flung open and i was greeted by a burly looking man who looked like he was ready to do some serious damage if he wanted to. Moss just sat their stuned while he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pokeball. He throw it into the air and a dazzleing red laser came out and materialized into a Machop.
       "Say hello to my friend Choppy he is the best of the best, an uncontrollable monster, a lean mean fight machine.
       "Get to the point" this dude was seriously getting on my nerves.
       "Uhhh....I'm a member of team Uppercut you can call me Steve and I'm gonna need you to give all money, pokeballs, pokemon, and items if you don't then things are going to get serious"
       Moss know didn't even feel the littlestbit scared and after hearing his introduction, seeing his pokemon of choice, and the fact that his machop looked like it was gonna faint before getting into a battle Moss realised..... He was just a petty theif. I knew I could take him.
       "Dratini come here looks like we got our first battle in Bombur"
       Dratini came out of the bath tub and slithered her way in front of Moss.
       "Driiiii"
       "Hahaha looks like Choppy and me are gonna have some fun. Choppy front and center"
       "Chop"
       "Dratini use Thunderwave"
A wave of electricity flew off Dratini and hit Choppy head on.
       "Choppy come on man move go in with a Low kick"
Choppys' paraliysis stopped him from moving.
       "Dratini this is your chance use Wrap"
       Dratini jumped to the air and wrapped herself around Choppy. Now Moss had an even higher advantage, Choppy is now paralyilzed and wrapped, arms are useless and too close to kick Dratini.
       "Choppy try and shake that Dratini off"
Choppy ignored the fact he has paraliysis and started to shake Dratini off.
        "Dratini stay on and tighten your grip"
Dratini started getting tighter and tighter it was to much for Choppy to bear. Choppy fainted in a heap of exhaustion.
        "Chopp" Choppys' final words before fainting
Steve stared at Moss with his jaw open. Steve Grabbed Choppys' pokeball, Choppy melted into a red laser and returned back to his pokeball.
         "I-I'll be back w-with stronger pokemon and I'll take everything you own"
           And on that Steve ran out the room down the hall and up the stairs. Moss walked back into his room and closed the door. He jumped back into bed and Dratini jumped up and curled next to him.
         "Well that was fun, you were amazing out there, really good work
         "Drii"
The loud speacker rang the bell signing the beginning of an announcement.
         "Hello passengers we were just informed that a theif sneak onbourd but don't worry he has left by the looks he didn't stea anything. On a lighter note we well be docking in Anchore Port in 5 minutes start preparing now maps of bombur and Anchore Town well be given out to you on your leave. Have a nice day."
         Moss and Dratini got up and prepared to leave they wanted to get out ASAP before people started seeing how the room looked after the battle.

Aaron was returning from being out on an early-morning stroll, not expecting any visitors until a reasonable hour later in the day, when he saw a spastic-looking boy wandering toward the lab's front door and holding his map like he had never held one before in his life. Oh well, time for work I suppose. He approached the boy.

"Here, let me get the door. It's locked. I am Aaron by the way, the professor's aide. And you are?" he asked the young man.

"Moss, thank you" said the boy

Moss walked into the lab. It was surprisingly bigger on the inside then it looked on the outside. He took in his view but there wasn't much. There were a few posters that had diagrams of pokemon, a plant right next to the wall, a few seats and a couch, a couple doors, and a desk with a computer. Moss looked up at Aaron.

"So why have you brought me here, I already have my first pokemon, I was just headed to the Pokecenter.

"Well, for one thing, the Pokecenter is closed except for emergencies until about two hours from now," lied Aaron through his teeth, trying to get the young man to stay without giving away the 'surprise' of his upcoming Gym Battle. That look of shock was the most entertaining and motivating part of Aaron's job and miraculously cut through the monotony of it all.

"If your Dratini is hurt, you can heal it at the machine in that first room to the left over there. Just return Dratini to its Pokeball and place the ball in one of the slots on the machine. It should only take a few seconds. I believe you said your name was Moss.. So, Moss, what brings you to the region of Bombur?"

Moss walked over to the machine, and put Dratinis' pokeball on the machine.

"Well I came here to study dragon-type pokemon that live in Bombur" Moss said with proud flowing through him

"Oh and two things. One are you sure that the pokecenter is closed isn't that kinda dangerous, and two you have a pokemon theif problem. On the ship I took here, a theif tried to take my Dratini, he said he was part of Team Upperhand I think"

Dratinis' pokeball popped out of the machine.

"Well thanks for letting me heal Dratini. Now if you would point me to the nearest hotel I'll be on my way"

"Wh-why did you do that" Moss said a little scared "Wait a minute I saw this movie. First you lock the door then you grab a kni-..." Moss stopped and his eyes widened with realization.

"No, wait! Calm yourself! There isn't anything maniacal going on. This is actually quite the opposite; I am Bombur's first Gym Leader. You are to battle me here, and the feeling I get from surprising beginning trainers is what keeps me going. So are you ready?" Aaron soothingly explained this to the neophyte standing across the battle field from him as he gripped his Pokeball.

Moss let out a sigh of relief. Then gave a slight smile.

"You know maybe next time you could start with that, then close the door behind you. Anywho.... A battle huh. Very well then."

Moss released Dratini from her Pokeball.

"Driii"

"Prepare to lose"

Aaron smiled at the eagerness of his challenger. He responded by sending out his own Pokemon, "Go, Ledyba!" The little ladybug materialized and looked up and back at its trainer, seemingly for some sort of confirmation. The blonde Gym Leader nodded, and Ledyba turned back while assuming as intimidating a stance as a small ladybug with no discernible musculature could.

"As the old adage goes, age before beauty. However, since I have both, I can at least let my challenger go first.. Haha! Your move!"

"Age before beauty.... I have both." Moss whispered to himself. He gave off a quizzical look, clearly not knowing what that meant: or caring for, he re-directed his attention back to Aaron.

"Dratini, use Thunder Wave!"

"Drii!"

Dratini glowed with electricity. She took a deep breath in, then let the power flow out of her. The slightly invisible wave traveled towards the helpless Ledyba.

Ledyba instinctively fluttered out of the arcing electricity, showing off its prowess in mobility. "Ledyba, give him a rousing Tackle!" The Bug-type sped forward and down from its slightly elevated position at its opponent.

The Ledyba came crushing down on Moss' Dratini. Dratini instinctively coiled around the Ledyba.

"Uhh... Use Wrap.. Then..." Moss said slightly confused, and a little but proud.

"Driii!" Dratini howled, as her grip became tighter and tighter.

Instinctive or no, the opponent's Wrap was excellently timed. More as a reaction rather than a strategy, the Gym Leader instructed, "Ledyba, Growl at it. See if you can disrupt its focus."

It had a little effect on the Dratini.

"While you have the Ledyba use Thunderwave."

Dratini quickly built up energy and released the wave onto it's victim Ledyba.

While the distraction attempt itself had little effect on the Dratini, that combined with the focus required of initiating another move allowed Ledyba ample room to wiggle free. It attempted to fly away from the arcing electric wave, but was clipped on the wing. Ledyba went spiraling out of the air into the ground.

As electric sparks crackled over the ladybug's joints, Aaron encouraged his partner, "Get up, Ledyba! The fight's not over yet! Growl at it once more. Rattle Dratini."

The paralysis was to strong for the Ledyba. It lay on the floor, defenseless

"Quick Dratini, Wrap!"

Dratini slithered over to the Ledyba and strangled to the point of fainting.

"Drii." Dratini said triumphantly. She scurried back to Moss, while the Ledyba laid like a rock on the ground.

Aaron recalled the bug PKMN. "Good job, little guy," he said as he put the ball back onto his belt and grabbed a second, "Now it's your turn, Nevermore!" The Leader threw the ball, releasing the unmistakable red laser which formed into a dark-plumed bird that cried, Neeev ev'ooorr!

Without wasting any time, Aaron went on the attack, sending Nevermore with a declamatory, "Peck!"

(AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!)

Dratini didn't have any time to build up a defense and took the attack head-on. She flew back a few feet and forced herself back up.

"Driii..." She hissed

"Dratini, Thunder Wave."

Dratini slithered closer to Nevermore, while gaining energy. She released it once she was close enough.
