Well. It's happened. I had a dream involving ponies. In my dream, I was playing a Pokemon game. Apparently in this one you could customize your clothing and hair style. Anyway, at one point my hair was rainbow-colored, and my shirt was either sky blue or sky blue with rainbow on it. My dream self commented on how it looked like Rainbow Dash. :P

I had another instance of ponies in my dreams shortly after, but I can't remember what it was.

Hey, do you guys mind if we tell the stories about how we became bronies? I'll go first. The very first moment I saw MLP: FiM was when my seven-year old sister was watching a few episodes of it on the Hub (Weird, because we don't have it now). Anyway, I was getting a snack or something and so I decided to take a peek at it (this was probably around late 2010, early 2011 just so you guys know). Just like with Invader Zim (I first saw the scene where the kids eyeballs get replaced when I was a little kid, so I never watched it again until 10th Grade) I came at just the wrong moment. I only remembered three things from what I saw. First, I saw Rarity and Steven Magnet. Second, I saw the showdown with Nightmare Moon. Last, I saw Gilda's introduction. I was in extreme skeptic mode at the moment. Those parts gave me the image that this show was stereotypical, with diva, flamboyant, bully, protagonist, and villain archetypes, as well as the Mane 6 looking very sterotypical to me (especially Rarity, who I now love dearly). Ironically, I told my sister "This looks stupid." She got offended, saying she liked it. One year later, I would've done the same thing she would have done.

So I forget about it. Then I notice something on both deviantART and YouTube around the same time, probably in the Summer of 2011. Could that be the show my sister watched? What's it doing here? I'm confused. I think by this time I may have processed there was a fanbase, but probably not. I was confused. If I had processed it, then I had NO IDEA the scope of it. Any way, my confusion stays with me for a little while. After a few months I think I get that this show does have some fans, and I somewhere along the road discovered the term Brony. I watch the first few episodes, think it's okay and go on my merry way. I still haven't totally processed what all of this is though, but I had only scratched the surface anyway.

Then 11th Grade begins. My best friend turns out to be a Brony. He gets me to watch all of the episodes. While I don't really remember the timeline of things, a week or two later I have watched all the episodes and realized I like it. While I watch these episodes, I begin to grasp the scope of the community, what it is like, and what they do. I then tell my friend I am probably a Brony.

The next months leading up to today are not as eventful, so I'll summarize them. I start watching the episodes soon after they release. I check My Little Brony, and look up YouTube videos and artwork on deviantART. I rope Marie back into it, and shortly after rope my middle-school aged sister into it. I keep my love of the show VERY secret, though. I get a bunch of MLP Presents for my sisters for Christmas. During the Winter and the beginning of Spring, I become more ardent of a Brony. The time when I really began to tell people I was a Brony was when the Save Derpy debate started. My non-brony friend was actually interested in debating the issue, though he doesn't watch the show. I open up to my friends about my love of the show. Through YouTube, Facebook, and deviantART, I publicly state I love the show. I state it here shortly after. The end of April and the beginning of May is really when I became the Brony I am today. Now, I invite my friends to watch the show, I discuss it passionately with friends, and I am not ashamed to be somewhat public of my love of the show and my affiliation as a Brony.
