Hey, guys! Sorry I haven't been very active on these forums. I've been kind of busy. Anyway, I just wanted your opinion on something (it doesn't matter what your opinion is, I'm just curious). My friend isn't willing to try the Total War games. From seeing gameplay, he says that it is very linear, unappealing, that turn-based strategy should be done away with because it isn't strategy it's handicap, and that realism should be saved for real life. Now I"m not posting this because I'm angry at his opinion (like my StarCraft vs. Age of Empires topic. Sorry about that, guys
). I found his remarks intriguing, because Rome Total War is one of my favorite games. I didn't think someone would find it so flawed. So I ask you guys your opinions on this game franchise. Do you like this series? Why or why not? What works and what doesn't? What about my friend's remarks? Are they valid? Why or why not? I just thought it would be fun to see what you guys thought about a game series I personally enjoy. Discuss away!
