Number 5 is an amusing idea, but number 7 is most accurate. Getting the evolution requires a rare item (which already exists in the game).

Originally the fire type starter was slated to be a koala but I changed it because I couldn't come up with a good third form. I suppose I will make a different koala Pokémon though.

This is the common bird Pokémon of the region, Wagren. It is based on a cute little bird common in Australia called a willy wag tail, which wags it's tail cutely when it flits about.

The common bugs of the region. A maggot, a pupa and a fly. It has the distinction of the lowest evolution level of any Pokémon. Some of my old friends may recognize a coincidental similarity with a certain hypothetical worm.

It is a chip in it's beak. And it is unremarkable because it's a common bird Pokémon. It is meant to be fairly unremarkable.

Magtail sings a pleasant song in the mornings, but at night it sings a dark haunting tune that confuses people who wander in the outback at night, leading them astray.

NEW: Poscreech: This Pokémon lives in trees and in the roofs of houses. It imitates the cries of a much more intimidating and scary Pokémon to scare predators and people.
