Many moons ago, when prehistoric pokémon walked the earth and the original Gold and Silver games were but a twinkle in Satoshi Tajiri's eye, a website was born, dedicated to the making of fake pokémon. Mewthree and Frogglet's Pokémon Factory, from humble beginnings, soon blossomed into one of the most popular Pokémon fan sites on the web.
"Hang on," you may be saying. "That was back in '98 or something. That's not 10 years ago!"
You would be correct! Unfortunately, the date of the founding of Mewthree and Frogglet's Pokémon Factory is lost to the mists of time. All we have is a rough date.
So, for today and the rest of the week, we will be celebrating the rebirth of the Pokémon Factory, when Culthulhu dredged up as many old members as he could and put it back together again. In many ways, this is the true birth of the Pokémon Factory as we know it, with Nintendo-quality sprites, a fleshed-out world to explore, and more fan-made pokémon than Nintendo has real ones (as soon as we pass #DS098!). The heyday of our popularity may have passed, but we're still going strong.
Every day this week, up until Sunday, we will post something new for your enjoyment. There will be pokémon, site features, and all sorts of interesting things. So check back every day, and we hope you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Today's Event: The DS Legendary Contest!
And thank you all, for being a part of this. PF is nothing without its members, which is why it's worth celebrating.
