Designing pokemon seems to be really hard for me. I'm good at all kinds of other art, but I seem to enjoy helping others see real potential in their own designs and ideas. So that being said, if you know anyone who is in need of some assistance, let me know.

Name: Starbula (STAR + neBULA)

Species: Starchild pokemon

1. A bit clichéd in concept, no?
2. The name "Starbula", how is this Pokémon related to nebulas?
3. The first Pokédex entry for Constellar should be "They were used..." rather than "It was used...".
4. Designs are pretty clichéd too.
5. Yeah everything is screaming "cliché! cliché! this has been done before!" Work on that.

2. nebulas are the birthplace of stars, and it also refers to the childlike appearance of the pokemon.

Ridiculously great pictures you did of them!

the dex entries you did are okay, but maybe a smidgen too long. would it be possible to reword them to keep them within 100 characters?
Movelists need a lot of work though, firstly with adding more moves in. Starbula for example learns nothing from 25 through to 45, and Constellar is the same from 37 to 50.
Other than that this is a mighty fine first suggestion!

SCD: thanks, and yeah I knew I was going to need work on the moves list for both. I was going to ask for help on those. And yeah I can do something about the dex entries.

You don't actually need to add all that many moves, mostly it's the levels. You should spread them out a bit more, you have a few moves with only two levels between them.

I agree with SCD, this doesn't seem overdone or cliched at all. I really like them (though I must admit, your wonderful art helped to convince me).

I can see how the 'pokemon from the stars' idea could be seen as a bit hackneyed, but with the way you conceptualized it, I think you're just fine. I rather like these two, and how well you stuck with the theme as far as the movesets go - but then I just really like anything related to astronomy :'D

One question: Why does Starbula learn Meteor Strike before Light Screen but Constellar learns Light Screen first?

btw is the ring around it actually part of the pokemon? Like does it always accompany it?

Yeah that was my inspiration! I use art mannequins all the time for drawing, I thought it might make a good pokemon! And yeah the wheel is apart of the pokemon. I imagine the wheel spinning at high speeds in all different directions, like a gyro ball, reflecting all incoming projectiles.
