Arturo was eating some cereal when his Mom walked in. "You better hurry!" She said, "You don't want to be late!". "Ok, Mom." Arturo mumbled. He put away his bowl and walked upstairs to his room. When he opened the door, he saw his pal Wooper sleeping on his bed. Arturo's Father, Carlos, had given it to him as a gift when he turned 10 so he could start his Pokemon adventure. Unfortunately, Arturo was so nervous that he had been putting it off until now. "Come on, Wooper, I'm ready this time"Arturo said with a smile. "Woop Woop!" Wooper cried. Arturo laughed and walked downstairs to the front door. Mom was at the door with tears in her eyes. "What's wrong, Mom?" Arturo asked. "Nothing..." She replied, "It's just that...you look so much like your father." His Father was an Interviewer and went all around to world to interview Gym Leaders. One day, though, he mysteriously dissapeared. Arturo kissed his Mother on the cheek. "I love you Mom, I won't let what happened to Dad happen to me." "I love you too." She whimpered.
Arturo began walking to the lab with a big smile on his face, but he was also somewhat nervous. "What if they ran out of Pokemon? What if it's closed? What if I can't decide which one to pick." Arturo thought. He had never given much time into thinking which starter Pokemon he wanted. None of them really interested him much. As he approached the Pokemon Lab, he knew something was wrong. All the lights were off except for a room in the back, and it looked like nobody was there. "No!" Arturo thought, "This can't be!" He knocked on the door, hoping that somebody might actually be in there.
