Chapter I (Prelude): A Tale Unfolds (The Magician)

The Queen of Wands, who's meaning lies within two simple living things: The sunflower and the cat, symbolizes an open, warm, radiant, and friendly spirit.
Like a sunflower points its face to the sun, those affiliated with the Queen of Wands always look at the brighter side of things and always try their best to be happy. However, just like in real life, the sun's radiance can blind them, causing them to lose sight of the real issues they have deep inside. Always remember to use the light of the brighter side to expel the shadows that lie within the soul.
The Sunflower

The Cat
Like a cat, those who are affiliated with the Queen of Wands require independence and freedom. They want things to go their way all of the time, but they must remember to be like the water-- to ebb and to flow with the currents. After all, life is full of surprises and things will often not be in your favor. Accept these things, and life will become far more enjoyable.

As she closed her book after reading an insightful passage about the Queen of Wands (A card in the common tarot deck), Genesis heard the sound of a man's voice in a nearby speaker on the upper edge of her room's door.
As she closed her book after reading an insightful passage about the Queen of Wands (A card in the common tarot deck), Genesis heard the sound of a man's voice in a nearby speaker on the upper edge of her room's door.
"Attention all passengers! We will be arriving in Terroh very soon. Please pack up your belongings and prepare to exit the S.S. Arch."
Not long after she had met the woebegone Illumise, Genesis felt a strong tug at her heartstrings. She felt as though she had an obligation to bring the little firefly to her rightful owner. These feelings helped aid in her decision to take the Illumise to her owner, whom resided in a foreign region, all by herself. Her parents, although a little unsure of their decision still, allowed her to take a ship to Terroh. Perhaps they thought of the mission as more of a spiritual journey, who knows? Her parents are and have always been quite strange.
For two weeks she stayed on board the humungous ship. The ship, to her surprise, was quite nice and well furnished, it made her feel like she was a on a cruise moreso than a trip to a region of responsibility. However, she still focused on what she had to do there, and the mission never left her mind for one second. Despite the neatness of the great vessel, there wasn't much to do, but knowing that that would be a possibility, Genesis had brought with her an old book that was treasured by her uncle. It was titled, The Tarot Guide: It had things such as advice and explanations pertaining to the cards in the tarot deck Genesis owned, it also had many illustrations that Genesis enjoyed to gaze at. It was a lovely passtime to her, and she enjoyed every word, every meaning, every secret, and every precious second used to read the lovely, purple, gem-adorned guidebook. Her room was small, but perfect for her and her little friend, Illumise. When the weather was gloomy (It was like this in the morning and at night), she would stay inside her room and lay on her soft, white, queen-sized bed and read. Other times she would go to the boat's deck and bother the workers with silly questions and antics and she would try to cheer up her sorrowful companion, Illumise. Late at night, she would sleep the inky overcast sky away.
The speaker made a beeping noise that signaled the end of the announcement. Genesis hurriedly packed her belongings and made sure the room was clean before she left, so as to not be rude to the other people that may take the room once she leaves. Not too long after her packing was done, the sounds of people walking could be heard outside her room. She grabbed her book and her handmade satchel and headed out of the room. In the hallway, adults and children quickly walked to the deck of the boat, forgetting which way to go to get to the exit, Genesis simply followed the crowd. Eventually, she got to the exit, which was a portable staircase stretched out from vessel's nose to the ground on the pier below. Genesis walked down the staircase excitedly, "We're here, my friend." She said to herself as she looked at Illumise's pokeball (A Luxury Ball), "You'll be home soon..."
She walked to the main square of the pier and asked a stranger for directions. The kind stranger pointed her to a small path that led out of town, she thanked him and went on her way. The pathway was wide and full of gorgeous greenery. Wild Pokemon ran and played and passed by Genesis as she waltzed through the road. All seemed beautiful, and she was glad. "Oh! There it is! Kapla Town! So... that stranger was right. How nice of him." Genesis happily passed the signpost that oh so gladly welcomed visitors. The town was a bit small, but very quaint. There was a beautiful mountain in the background that seemed to loom over the town like a guardian angel. Genesis walked past various houses in search of a Pokemon Center. Soon after she noticed a lab. It seemed interesting, after all she was more of a "mystical magic-powers" kind of person, it would have been interesting to see things explained by science. And so, she slowly entered the electronic door of the lab and noticed much interesting machines and doo-dads and gadgets that seemed to be able to do things that were just as interesting as their designs. She walked around for a bit and browsed through the lab, but she noticed something was a bit off. She could almost feel someone's presence...
"Excuse me, is anyone there?" She asked out loud.
