Lately I noticed Unova Pokemon in the National Dex (besides the starters, which have been there for a while now). It doesn't look complete but it's getting there. ^^ I'm assuming that no Unova Pokemon will be available in the Bombur region because they are unique to their own region?

Who said they're unique to Unova?

I assumed that the Unova Pokemon were unique to Unova because they weren't found in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh. Finding six (maybe seven if you count Selenica) regions' worth of Pokemon in one region is fairly ridiculous anyway.

The Nintendo games imply Unova to be extremely far away from the rest of the other regions; this is supposedly why there are no species from the first four games native to Unova. So it's not so much that Unova's species are unique to Unova; they just aren't in any of the regions we've seen before. If Generation 6 takes place in a Canada-inspired or Mexico-inspired setting, Unova species might be found there as well.

Ooh, my region is based on Florida and it has them.

And, uh, I don't think that answers the question. What location is Bombur based off of?

Bombur's not based on anywhere specific, but climatewise it's probably mostly equivalent to northern Europe (Germany or France), other than the desert of course.

But isn't there some arid parts in Spain? My memory's kinda hazy, but I think I saw a nature documentary about that area. I remember there were chameleons of all things.

Bombur was specifically designed to contain a wide range of environments. And I mean that in-setting, since it was by the actions of a Legendary Pokémon that Bombur was raised from the ocean and shaped.

...also, on the topic of legendary pokémon, Bombur can be home to any species the staff of the Pokémon Factory want. Again, meant in-setting. ...which means we really ought to discuss the question of Unova's species as possible immigrants soon...

I imagine that if they were in Bombur, it would be only certain species and quite rarely at that (unless it would be one which multiplies rapidly for some reason). For example, I can imagine Whimsicott floating across the ocean and Cottonee spreading like wildflowers, though I can't see land-locked Sandile, Scraggy and Darumaka crossing.

What Pory said was: there actually exists a Pokémon Factory on Bombur. It creates Pokémon Species and clones existing ones. Unova Pokémon can appear in Bombur if the in-story Pokémon Factory starts cloning them.
