Originally, I wanted to make this pokemon one designed for competitive pokemon battling. As seen from the stats and moveset, Oscurgus is built into the mould of the perfect revenge killer. With the ability Bluff, there is not much worry of switching in. From there you can pick off frail sweepers with a variey of moves (Shadow Sneak, Psy Blast (See below), Bullet Punch, Mach Punch, etc.). Oscurgus is also able to provide a little support as well, with Hypnosis and Confuse Ray. The high defensive stats mean Oscurgus will be staying in the game for a while, and Recover ensures that.
NOTE: Oscurgus is still under devolopment. If you have any idea to make it better, please say so, it would really help.
Name: Oscurgus (OSCURO is spanish for DARK, while MaGUS is one of the many nouns to say Magic in latin. All provided info from google translate, I do not know much of either language.)
Classification: Magician Pokemon
Type: Dark and Psychic (Why not Magic? Magic as I noticed, is mostly support moves, but OSCURGUS will have some support moves with some attacking moves, priority moves, and power-up moves. Oscurgus might learn a magic-type move or two, but it stops there.)
HT: 2'04"
WT: 32.8lbs
Description: Ok, imagine a dark and evil version of Whimsicott, but in a magician form. For the head, a round black and yellow colored head, with an evil smile and dots for eyes. Males wear a tophat, while females wear a witch's hat. The body is sleek and skinny, but not too long. The body itself should be black and yellow, to match with the head. The pokemon wears a black cape going down it's back. The arms of proportionate to that of a human being, while carrying a wand in the right hand. The left hand is clenched into a fist, and the fist itself has small iron spikes on the knuckles. The legs are a bit short and stubby, but the pokemon wears dress shoes for males, and high heels for females. It also has a small tail sticking out of it's cape. Shiny version is Black and Red instead of Black and Yellow.
Pokedex Entries:
-Dex A: This pokemon loves to pull pranks on people. On some nights, there are cases where OSCURGUS will create illusions just to get revenge back at their trainer.
-Dex B: OSCURGUS are sneaky and will attempt nasty pranks just to please themselves. Some expert magicians catch an OSCURGUS to perform magic tricks on stage.
Ability: This is when I suggest a an idea for a new ability. Bluff: The 1st attacking move directed towards the user (OSCURGUS) in battle is blocked, with this message of "(Pokemon's) Bluff prevents the attack!" An example would be if you start with Oscurgus in a battle, and the opponent uses earthquake. The 1st time he uses earthquake, bluff blocks it completley, but afterwards, he is free to attack you. If you switch out and switch in again, the ability resets, allowing bluff to block one more time. Bluff fails to block moves that are not attacking moves, and this be from moves like Thunderwave, Hypnosis, Mean Look, etc.
Evolution: No, I do not believe in evolution.
