Jarulso stood outside the rather large Pokemon Lab, with Specter on his shoulder. He went to find a Doorbell, but noticed the automatic doors sliding open, and just walked inside. Specter cuddled up to his neck, and Jarulso scratched his head reassuringly. "Relax, if you don't like this place, just stay with me." Jarulso cooed, before wandering around. He peeked around a corner, and noticed someone in a long, white lab coat. "Excuse me, do you know where the Professor is?" Jarulso asked.

(IC Note: Specter looks like a scarf, when he's around Jarulso's neck.)

"Oh, uh, hello. You're, uh, Jarulso?" The lab aide looks towards the guest, cradling a tablet computer.
"Okay, good. Just, uh, return your Pokémon into a ball and place it in this tablet computer so I can register it into the, uh, Terroh Pokémon Trainer Network. Future Pokémon that you, uh, catch, uh, can be registered when restoring at any, uh, Pokémon Center." The aide gestures towards a circular indent on the back of the tablet.

"Oh, but I haven't caught any Pokemon in a Pokeball yet..." Jarulso said, shuffling his feet. The Aide seemed a little off, but he couldn't be sure. So, he was going to answer as honestly as he could, taking his meanings in a different direction.

"Ah, well then. I'm sorry, I'll need to get a starter Pokémon for you, then. It says here that you, uh, already have a Pokémon." The aide walks past Jarulso, motioning towards a cupboard near the door. At this moment, he snatches the "scarf" off of Jarulso, ripping off his lab-coat and wig, and runs out of the door.
A few seconds later, another aide rushes in from an elevator.
"That... that was a thief! I saw it on the security cameras. Quick! Uh... Take this!"
The lab aide throws a Pokéball towards Jarulso.
"That's a Treecko! It's got a disability, but I'll tell you later. Go get the thief and your Pokémon!

Jarulso caught the Ball, and ran out the front door, before taking aim at the Thief, and moved into a Softball-Throwing Position. "Oi, Thief! EAT THIS!" He roared, before throwing the Pokeball right into the back of the Thief's head as hard as he could, which then bounced off and released a Treecko.

"AAAAAAAAAH"
The thief turns right around. He has stark white hair, black clothes with a red collar, and bright cyan eyes. Out from behind him pops a Duskull.
"Duskull, do it!"
The Duskull tosses the Pokéball containing Specter towards the Treeko, then explodes into deep purple smoke, creating a deep crater in the road. When the smoke clears, the thief and his Pokémon are gone.

Jarulso stares in awe, before running over to the Pokeball he dropped, and releasing Specter. He gave it a quick cuddle, and then shifted his gaze to the Treecko. "Thanks, buddy." He smiled, before lifting out a hand to Treecko. Specter, on the other hand, had returned to Jarulso's neck, retaining a Scarf-like appearance.

Jarulso stood up, and side-by-side with Treecko, and Specter around his neck, he proceeded to return to the lab.

"Ah, uh, Jarulso, you're back!" The lab aide runs forward to greet him. "Sorry about, uh, all that. But I see you have, uh, your Pokémon back. Now, see, you really do have to register your Pokémon to the system, so you will, uh, have to place your Pokéball into this tablet here." The aide motions to another tablet computer sitting on a nearby desk. "Oh, but you can trust me. Really."

An elevator pops out from underground. A redheaded middle-aged woman walks out. "What's happening in here? Johnson, just let me do this."
The lab aide stands back, "Alright then, Mrs. Maple."
"Hello, I am Professor Maple. Welcome to the Pokémon world, where... Oh, but you have a Pokémon already. Two, in fact. Yes, I saw your short battle with that thief through cameras on that Treecko. It seems to like you very much. Why don't you keep it?"

Jarulso smiled, then looked to Specter. "Only time, I promise." He cooed, before taking out a Pokeball with a black stripe painted on the top, and returning Specter into it. He then handed the ball to the Professor, as well as retrieving Treecko. "I think I'll call you... Zenrei. As in, the Spirit of Goodness. What do you think?" He smiled, with Treecko happily reciting it's own name, with a gesture similar to a salute.

"Very good. Now, here is your PokéTablet." The professor handed Jarulso a tablet computer, about the size of her hand. "It is essentially a combination of all your tools, including a PokéDex, a Map, a Cellular Phone, a Camera, an Itemfinder, a VS Seeker, a Battle Simulator, and a Fame Checker. You may be presented with custom applications from others, which can be used by this tablet to perform different functions."

She then presents a large backpack to Jarulso.
"This is a special bag. It is interwoven with the anti-gravitational substances in most levitating Ghost Pokémon. Although not enough to make fully levitate, it allows for the bag to be much lighter on a trainer's back. The bag also allows for remote Item and Pokémon storage access using a wireless network. However, as the process is much slower than in a normal Pokémon Center, I advise you to keep all your important items and Pokémon by your side. Remember that the Terroh Pokémon Training laws state that a normal trainer must only use a maximum of six Pokémon in battle. You can transfer items and Pokémon using a device here." The professor points to a round indent on the side of the bag and a small screen. "Solar panels on the bag can power functions of the bag and recharge the PokéTablet, but I advise that you recharge every time you reach a Pokémon Center just in case the solar panels fail."

A lab aide taps her shoulder, "The scan is finished."
"Alright. Jarulso, here is your Eevee." The professor hands the Pokéball back to Jarulso. "Here is 5000 Poké to start you off. Continue on the road to the West to get to Peakdew Town. You'll know where to go after that. If you have something to ask, just call me." Maple types something on Jarulso's tablet. "It's time for you to start your Pokémon adventure. Good luck!"
