A neat idea, but I don't really get why they are light-type when they're clearly based on dust. Wouldn't it make more thematic sense to make them ground-types instead?

Honestly, I dont know why I chose them to be Light-type, but I tbink these would be better as Light-types than Ground-types. Maybe their Light-type because of their playful and kind nature.

But they have nothing to do with light. They're dust.

I feel like these things are too BWE-like (BWE= Ball With Eyes) to be good suggestions. If they're partially based off of dust bunnies then make them more bunny-like. Possibly a jackalope?

Hmm...well I was thinkimg about it last night, and maybe I could make Dustutie a Light/Ground type, so that at least Dustutie would be more accurate.
@Flashable now that u mention it, giving Dustutie small, rabbit-like ears would make them more "dust bunny" like than my original description. I'll get right on it.

I wouldn't give them Light type, particularly because the have absolutely nothing to do with light. Also, you can't base a pokemon's type off of it's nature. I would give them Wind or Wind-Ground

The name Dust Sneeze isn't very evocative of the power you've given it. I say either make it weaker and raise the accuracy to fit the name, or change the name to something more powerful-sounding to fit the attack and accuracy.

The only way I see for the light type to possibly be justified is that its easier to see dust when viewed through light streaming from a window, other than that it makes no sense whatsoever (in my opinion) for them to be light type. Now for silliness: Ima firin mah dust! Ahchoo!

Good suggestion, but jumping from 11 inches to 12 feet seems a little too much. Either raise Dustutie's height or lower Dustormant's. Overall, seems to be good, but a little substance could be added for both.

Cute idea, I've always found the idea of dust bunnies funny (and surprised that pokemon didn't use it). Love the mention of horns, if it's an intentional reference to jackalopes or not. If the dust-bunny prevo has jackalope horns, perhaps give the evo little swirly dust wings, as a nod to the wolpertinger? I agree with oran about making them mote-related if you want to keep the light type, and I don't think they'd have a problem with being too featureless if done right, they'd be the more abstract ones like koffing's line, which are just as important in a good balanced dex as the ones that look like animals.
Do you imagine this to be a common pokemon, even one that could turn up in houses?

@Nev: thanks! well, Flarsable suggested the idea of making them more bunny-like, and even suggested giving them antlers. However, I was thinking about giving Dustormant gender differences, but giving it antlers looks silly to me. Maybe you can help me out with that topic? Also, I do think that Dustutie would be extremely common in Bombur, having a rang around the continent similar to house mice in the real world, but I decided that it would make a little more sense to make it common only in at least two routes.

It sounds to me like this could be a pokemon that has a similar concept direction like Magikarp (evolving into something almost entirely different) and a possibility of having a range exactly like Audino. (able to be found on any land route) I have been feeling another one of these pokemon should pop up, and frankly I think this pokemon will be approved.

PS. you honestly didn't have to change the height of Dustormant.

@Blaphlozard: If you really wanted to see a pokemon height difference just look at Wailmer and Wailord.

well I believe that these will be approved even though the dust bunny is a common fakemon idea it is the fact that you gave it an evolution that is just way out there which not only gives it a certain uniqueness but also giving it a certain coolness and cuteness that just can't be resisted. And, I always liked how Magikarp evolved into something almost entirely different.

Oh and you may have wanted to keep the written description of both pokemon.

Dexes:
They are all 20-40 characters too long, they have to be between 85 and 100 characters.

Dustutie's dexes contain 3 ideas that are put together rather oddly. These ideas more or less boil down to
They use objects like cobwebs as toys. In times of trouble they take shelter in trash cans. (91) (you said in the dex that they use dust bunnies as toys, but I thought they themselves were dust bunnies.)
It regulates the amount of dust and lint that covers it by “sneezing” all of extra dust off. (92)
While young children everywhere love it dearly, adults often consider it an unwelcome pest. (91)

Dustormant's dexes make it seem wildy powerful and almost legendary. They talk about all sorts of things that it can do, but the movelist doesn't really reflect that. For the first one it would be better to have something more like:
Although its size and power make it seem imposing, it actually has a very gentle nature. (88)
I'm not really sure what you want to do with the second one, but I wouldn't give it the power to create flash floods without having a flash floody thing in its movelist.

@SoR: I didn't know that the dexes were too long. I'll use your dex entries, since their better than what I can come up with. Also, the reason why the second dex entry for Dustormant can summon flash floods is...actually, I can't figure out that one, but I've read a lot of dex entries of real Pokemon that don't fit their movelist. (ex: Emboar doesn't learn Fire Punch any way, but one of the dex entries says that it attacks with "firey punches"). But I'll fix it.
EDIT: Is that better? Or are they still too long?
