my favorite legendary is without a doubt Victini. I don't know why, but its looks are enough to win me over.

I have a thing for Moon Symbolism, so the Moon Duo of Cresselia and Darkrai take a spot high up on my list... In fact, here it is now:

1. Arceus

I won't lie; I'm an egomaniacal, power hungry prick when it comes to Pokemon, and the sheer satisfaction I derive from controlling what equates to GOD is a little terrifying.

2. Darkrai

Like I said, I enjoy Moon symbolism-- I also enjoy EVIL. Darkrai combines both into a nice, demonic package. To say nothing of how its mere presence causes nightmares and locks small children into a never-ending nightmare-world of DOOM.

3. Kyurem

This thing earned my respect recently as I was battling it to add to my collection. At first, I used Reshiram, thinking "Oh, Reshiram is half Fire-Type. I'll hit it a couple times and then throw a ton of Ultra Balls at it." Nope. I ended up landing a single DragonBreath attack on it (which thankfully paralyzed it) before it struck me down with a crit-hit Dragon Pulse. Luckily, I had back ups, but the point remains that it is a fearsome foe. Plus, the fact that it's Reshiram and Zekrom's discarded husk of a body come to life is kinda cool too.

4. Nightmera

This thing just runs on pure, unadulterated High Octane Nightmare Fuel with some pure Awesomeness injected like nitro-boosts whenever people start to doubt that it can kick your ass. Easily my favorite PF Legendary (actually, it might be the only one to end up on my list...), it channels the spirit of Darkrai into its very being.

5. Deoxys

Whenever I think about how Deoxys is the (apparently only "real") Alien Pokemon, I then consider the fact that since it is an alien life form, when our character catches one, they are, in essence, enslaving what could very well be an ambassador from another world. That said, it's a kickass Legendary and the most blatant and effective of adaptation for survival.

6. Mewtwo

A blood-thirsty, genetically engineered supersoldier gone horribly right, Mewtwo is just cool enough and powerful enough to escape my Bottom Four. Forget a tiny kitten whose main ability is that it can learn every move out there (the question is, can you FIND someone/something to teach it those moves?)-- give me an angsty, murderous freak of science any day!

7. Palkia

Pearl was the game I got into first in Gen. IV (and indeed, I only use Diamond to run Nuclocke Challenges). That, and I've always been a stickler for things on two legs-- jest seems more "civilized" to me (and if you look at PMD: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, you'll see that Dialga is the only one to go Primal). I also have a thing for type combinations that MAKE SENSE (I mean, what REALLY qualifies Dialga's Steel-Type, anyway?).

8. Drakoniric

Huh. Guess I lied back at #4, didn't I? Well, now that it's here, I can explain why-- be forewarned, some of these thing will have already been mentioned. I love dragons, I love things that look evil, and I like type combinations that make sense. Drakoniric has a lot of each of these (well, at least a lot of the first and last things, anyway). However, it isn't incredibly orignal in that there are tons of "angry dragons" out there-- this one just happens to be a Legendary one from humanity's collective consciousness.

9. Dialga and ~~his Chewtoy~~Celebi

Yeah, yeah, yeah, flame if you want JDL, but the fact is that Celebi is just a cosmic plaything compared to what one can only assume is his/her master, Dialga. I couldn't decide which Doctor Who wannabe I like better, so I gave them the dual honor of not being in last place.

10. Cresselia

All of Darkrai's Moon symbolism with none of its evil. It does, however, bring back fond memories of the Sailor Moon anime, and it's not that bad stats wise. Still wish it weren't so... ~~laser-guided~~ oriented towards girl gamers.

Yes I did. And here's why: when dealing with a Pokemon that represents Space (or, as I will call it here, Matter, since in a truly scientific world, Space and Time are inextricably intertwined into the concept of space-time), it make a whole lot of sense to make it at least partially Water-Type, since water can conform to and is, in fact, the basic standard for determining phase shifts between three out of four of the types of matter (those being solid, liquid, and gas). It might also have made sense to make Palkia Dragon/Ground (or Dragon/Rock), but I can understand why they didn't want to (ie. it would have made Palkia strategically stronger (or weaker, if it was half Rock-Type) when pitted against Dialga).

Well, its basis is a pearl, which comes from oysters, which live at the bottom of the sea... and I think there's a trope somewhere out there that Water is Space.

And sov, Dialga's a Steel type because diamond is the hardest gem, so it's like Steel in a way...?
