I wanna let you guys know that I´m a really big fan of bosses in videogames, whether it's mid-bosses, stage or world bosses and of course, final bosses. And since I haven't seen a similar topic here at PF in like well, ever, I'm gonna give this a try and see how it works out.

So... any videogame bosses that you like, admire or wanna discuss? Of course a boss can be amazing not only of how it looks but also because of how it's fought, so the battles themselves are also welcome.

NOTE: Of course, this is bound to contain spoilers for some games, but please even with that in mind, please at least put a WARNING for any final boss you wanna mention.

Giygas!

He's, like, one of the most disturbing bosses ever. Also, I might be a bit slow to realize this, but the machine that he was kept in to depress his powers, the Devil's Machine, kind of looks like a female reproductive organ. Which is weird because Ness' face is on it.

King Dedede is boss. I like him because he's a ridiculous final boss that became the first boss in a later game.

Also, Ganon/Ganondorf. Needless to say.

Though I haven't versed it or even played the game it came in, Omega Ridley. So awesome looking and Metroid bosses are the most life-like and amazing (not to mention extremely difficult to beat) bosses.

I also like Giga Bowser, Tabuu, and Ganon/Ganondorf.

Pokémon Factory Worker

Do Pokémon legendaries count? If so, then I think Giratina in Platinum deserves a mention. The distortion world is delightfully strange with its right angle terrain, upside down waterfalls, and alien looking trees. I think it counts as the first ever eldritch abomination pokemon. Awesome!

EDIT: I forgot about Unown. :P
But they were so weak.. If only the games could allow the use of 28 Unown at a time, then we're talking.

Pokémon Factory Worker

WARNING

Jubileus from Bayonetta. Even if the boss fight itself wasn't that great in terms of difficulty or innovation, it was still so much fun, had so much hype beforehand, and it grows into you pushing her into the sun, then diving into the sun to destroy her utterly. Pretty great.

Perfect Chaos from Sonic Adventrue (DX)

I...love... this battle!! The background music is awesome, the battle is very climactic, and the controls handle quite nicely.

Wait, what? The controls handled quite nicely?

Also, the final boss of Paper Mario Thousand Year door. That cutscene in the middle was, in all sense of the word, epic.

I know the game sucked, but the final boss in Sonic Unleashed was cool. I mean the platform stage boss, and the Super Sonic Boss. Not the Giant Temple Bot fight.

@Mr Bean567 I have Mystery Dungeon Time and Sky.

I find Emperor Tachyon fro Rachet and Clank: Tools of Destruction and the Collector in Little Big Planet fun to battle and very quirky as Emperor Tachyon is so funny and the Collector is in Little Big Planet, which is just quirky by itself.

Nuff said.
