Cryogonal may be fragile physically, but his Speed is awesome and so is his Sp. Defense.

Then again, don't know if that's enough to make him good. Still, at least he's not as bad as Glaile.

Ah, but isn't Tyranitar the only Rock/Dark Pokemon? So, it's pretty unique. Still, I concede the point that it wouldn't be an "original" type pairing.

I dunno... x4 Weakness to Fire? That was the really big downfall of Ferroseed and Ferrothorn; Fire-Types are pretty common in competitive battling... Come to think of it, so are Fighting-Types, which this also has a x4 Weakness to.

Steel / Ice

Fire: x4
Grass: x0.5
Water: x1
Electric: x1
Normal: x0.5
Fighting: x4
Dark: x0.5
Psychic: x0.5
Poison: x0
Steel: x1
Rock: x1
Ice: x0.25
Bug: x0.5
Ghost: x0.5
Dragon: x0.5

Yeaaah, Cacapulse is right. Fire-types aren't common at all, namely due to so many bulky waters and Stealth Rock. Fire is a terrible defensive typing, and Fire-types almost always have terrible stats outside of sun. Ferrothorn doesn't have a big downfall - it can scout for fire-type moves with Protect and switch out. There's a reason Ferrothorn is the number one used pokemon in BW OU.

I'm sorry, I suppose I wasn't clear-- Fire-Type moves are common. At any rate, I can't think of anything that would make sense as an Ice/Fire combo.

Wow.

I think that if a Steel/Ice-type Pokemon were created by GF, it'd probably be put into BL or UU or even lower unless it was a REALLY well-rounded Pokemon with good stats. Then again, look at what it's resistant to: Nearly all types except for Fire and Fighting (I'd say Water and Electric, too, but those are neutral). So... would that save it from being thrown into BL, UU, or lower? (Hypothetically speaking, of course.)

And as for the Fire/Ice combo... well, when I think of that, I think of the snowy region of Japan that's home to those red-skinned, white-furred Chimpanzees (I think they were Chimpanzees...) that rest in the natural hot springs. However, the PF already has a Pokemon based of those guys. Gosh, I'm totally stumped.

Also, Dark/Bug-type anyone?

EDIT: LE GASPU~! What about a golem made of... DRY ICE?

Well, it also has a 2x weakness to Ground, which is also very common.

How about a Ghost/Steel type?

Why are we considering the types in competitive battling.
There are plenty of Pokémon that are never used in competitive battling.

@OA: LE GASPU! YES! And then it'd evolve into liquid nitrogen or something I don't even.

@Flarsable: Ghost/Steel sounds really cool to me, and there's so many things we can do with it! It could be a possessed suit of armor, an animated computer, a cluster of junk controlled by a ghost or a poltergeist, or maybe a more high-tech version of Golurk. There's so many possibilities!

@JDLJDL: I know that, I'm just saying. And what does liquid nitrogen have to do with dry ice? Dry ice was supposed to be a pun on a Fire/Ice-type combo.
