It was the wee hours of the morning when an ambitious young traveler's ship arrived at the Anchore Ports. But as Sampson, the traveler, arrived his thoughts were not just ambitious. They were excited, anxious even. Like those of a young boy on Christmas morn, expectant of the surprises yet to come. All the while, the young man was beaming, thinking of all the possibilities and opportunities available to him in the wide open land before him. He was going to do things that not even his father had done, a man of acclaim in distant lands and intellectual circles. Sampson was going to defeat this league, as he had defeated the others, of that he was certain. Yet even this goal could not distract him from the prospect of what he had always wanted to be, and in the mindset of a true Pokemon Pioneer, he stared into the direction of the new horizon and watched the sun emit its glorious gaze and a whole new world.
Sampson had only heard rumors about the land of Bombur. As a matter of fact, he had never heard of any new PKMN here or people. It was a whole new experience, but he lived for those; he always had. He was a battler, an explorer and a competitor, so challenging himself was all part of his ever-changing routine, oxymoronic as that may be. So, to engage himself and become at least somewhat educated, he ran to the nearest internet cafe to research what the land before him held...and of course to refuel to meet whatever challenges he faced with the best of his ability because, hey, a growing boy has to eat, doesn't he? After a few hours of mixed research and feasting, Sampson saw that it was mid-morning and decided to head off to the PKMN lab, where he had recently learned was in this town and the place to receive your PKMN to start your journey. And so ran the young man with his sweatpants and cut-off shirt, the hat blocking the sun from his eyes and his heart full of genuine, ecstatic joy...
Sampson knocked on the door loudly. "HELLO?!?!," he yelled excitedly and impatiently, "is anyone there? I'm here to receive a PKMN if at all possible!"...
