This looks to me like some form of sea cucumber OR a Sea slug, it's harder to tell out of water. I wouldn't be able to tell you what species it is though, perhaps it's new to science? owo
Anyway, I like the way you thought this suggestion out in terms of making a unique yet simple design, and it has a cute name!
A few things I'd like to point out though: the first dex is too short, really needs to be between 80-100 characters, while this dex has just over 60.
Rock throw's kind of the basic weak rock attack, so it should come much earlier than level 35. That said, you may be having it learn Bubblebeam and Slam a tad too early, and I'm not entirely convinced of the appropriateness of Take Down at all, considering it has a suction cup for locomotion. Then again, Shellos learns Water Pulse really early, and Gastrodon gets a Body Slam it shouldn't be able to perform (what with more gastropod locomotors and lack of proper jumping muscles), So do whatever you think's best ^^; Also I think unless you're going to evolve this suggestion then Explosion's learned too early as well. Other than those points, this is a mighty fine suggestion and I hope it's approved with alacrity!

(Why anyone would go to the effort to make a very convincing animatronic sea cucumber for a commercial is beyond my comprehension)

You mean of your statement or of the suggestion design? 'cause if it's the latter, then I'd have to disagree and say the current one is fine.

(unless of course Chaocobo agrees with Cacapulse, then I should shut my big mouth =x=)
