A ship arrived at the docks in Anchore. It was the finest ship of its class, the Royal Unova which docked in Castelia City, in Unova of course. On the ship were many tourists from multiple regions- Kanto, Sinnoh, Unova... but Marco wasn't here for a vacation. He was here for a very different reason. As they got off the ship, Marco's mother followed, a respectable-looking woman. She was followed by a long green Pokemon that resembled a snake. This was Marco's original starter Pokemon, Serperior. Marco frowned. "I'm sorry, but I can't take you with me on my journey. Region rules. I have to get a starter Pokemon from the lab here."
Serperior whined slightly, curling up beside its master sadly. Marco hugged it. "I wish I could take you. You will stay in Anchore with Mom like we agreed." Marco's mother smiled at him. "Remember that you can always talk with us via Xtranceiver. All right, darling?" Marco nodded. "Of course. I love you mom, thank you for taking me here. I'll talk to you soon." He turned and looked at the town, seeing few buildings but one in particular caught his attention. That big one had to be the lab. He approached the doors, and entered.
