I just wanted submit another idea that I've developed. I like these guys, 'cause they rock.
Name: Cupra (Latin "cuprum" (copper), as in the abbreviation Cu + "cobra")
Classification: Coil Pokémon
Type: Steel/Poison
HT: 7'2.6" (2.2m)
Classification: Coil Pokémon
Type: Steel/Poison
HT: 7'2.6" (2.2m)
WT: 50.7 lbs. (23kg)
Egg Group: Mineral, Draconic
Description: It is basically based off of copper wire. Its body is flattish with parallel lines running through it that call to mind separate wires, like a ribbon cable, except with less wires. And it's all coiled up like, well, a Tesla coil. The end of its tail/body looks a bit like the end of the ribbon cable above, just a little more stylized and Pokémon-ey, same situation as in Nickuivre. Its head has horns on the back that curl to almost form a ring (like a horseshoe shape) and are uniformly thick with rounded ends. The rest of its head is similar to Nickuivre, except that its eyes are full circles and its mouth is probably closed in the sprite. It looks alert.
Pokédex Entries:
- Dex A: It likes maneuvering its coiled body around metal things. This replenishes much-needed energy.
- Dex B: It is stuck in a permanent coiled shape. It moves by using its spring-like body to jump around.
Ability: Spring Coil*/Lightningrod (Unaware)
Evolution: into Nickuivre at level 33

- Dex A: It's more mobile than CUPRA, but still has limited flexibility. It will coil again after a minute.

Name: Nickuivre ("Nikola Tesla" + French "cuivre", copper)
Classification: Coil Pokémon
Type: Steel/Poison
HT: 20'8" (6.3m)
Classification: Coil Pokémon
Type: Steel/Poison
HT: 20'8" (6.3m)
WT: 46.3 lbs. (21kg)
Egg Group: Mineral, Draconic
Description: This one is based off of copper wire too, but is much thinner, lighter, and longer. Its body is long and thin and coppery, and its head is based off of the thing at the top of Tesla coils. The basic pose would be Nickuivre coiled up tightly like a spring with its head poking up out of the middle. Its head is shaped like a basic snake head (with a very wide mouth, as in it stretches all the way to the side of its head, and with eyes that are flat-topped without looking slit-ey or evil, with stylistic lines under the eyes that make them look a bit tired and sluggish. The eyes are green) but with the ring thing attached to the back, about twice as big as the head. If the mouth is open (which would be a cool sprite), there's a basic forked tongue that is green like the eyes. Its tail looks like the end of an ethernet cable, but stylized like in Cupra, maybe with some green pattern calling to mind the said ethernet cable or some green something. Don't hesitate to add more green details to the Pokémon, like a stripe or two. I'm thinking of the green being a more olivey, darker green, not bright green or dark green. I want the color scheme to be like COPPER green.
Pokédex Entries:
- Dex A: It's more mobile than CUPRA, but still has limited flexibility. It will coil again after a minute.
- Dex B: It stores tension while coiled, and will lash out inadvertently when touched or attacked.

*This is kind of a signature ability, but I don't know many PF Pokémon, so I couldn't say. Every turn this Pokémon isn't hit by a damaging move, it is charged up up to 8 times. Once attacked by a damaging move, the attacker receives damage equal to 1/8 of their max HP * the charge of the Pokémon with this ability.
