JDLJDL: Hello! We are here for the 20 kilometer flying event. We are on the rooftop of the Pokélympia Weather Station. So, Bob, what's the weather?
Bob: Terrible! I guess my forecast yesterday was wrong. The temperature is 23 degrees! Wind speed, 64 kilometers per hour! Wind direction, northeast! It is currently pouring out here! The noise is deafening! As you can tell JDL and I are SHOUTING at each other right now! Lightning is approaching at about 47 kilometers per hour from 26 kilometers in the north!
JDLJDL: But of course, we're not supposed to need this information, right?
Bob: We are not. Do you want to know why?
JDLJDL: (fakes curiosity) Yes, yes I do. Why is that?
Bob: (fakes enthusiasm) Well, it's because as of last month, the Pokélympia Weather Station has its own WIND TUNNEL! Yes, the flying and jumping events can be done in the relative safety of a huge tube!
JDLJDL: But are we going to use it?
Bob: Ha! No! Watching Pokémon flying through this storm would be too fun!
JDLJDL: Haha! Now, it looks like the Pokémon are ready and I need to get a jacket. 
Bob: Is that a Smeargle? In a FLYING event!?
JDLJDL: Seems so. Do you think it'll win?
Bob: Yeah, when PIGMENTS FLY.
JDLJDL: ................. PFFFF HAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT!?
Bob: Oh, it's painting itself a part of wings!
JDLJDL: Huh. Anyway, let's GET TO DA PORYCHOPPA!
Ah yes, those were the good old days. Our young selves ran in the rain, laughing and dancing towards two helichopper-shaped Porygon II. At that time, helichoppers were futuristic blends of helicopters and choppers. 

JDLJDL: Looks like Porygon II's Magic Coat is working quite well. Over.
Bob: Yes it is.
JDLJDL: Yes it what? Over.
Bob: Yes it is. 
JDLJDL: I'm sorry, say "Over" when it's over. Over.
Bob: I do not want to say over.
JDLJDL: You do not want to say what?
Bob: What, I have to say "over" if my sentence ended in "over"? Over.
JDLJDL: Yes. Over.
Bob: I hate Stewie Griffin.
JDLJDL: Awwwww... don't say that. Our contestants will be flying in a northward route to Mainland Terroh, circling the Pokélympics monument there, then returning south to here. Okay, they have begun. Currently in the lead is Mordrache, a Hydreigon. While it is not a flying-type, but its Levitate allows it to become airborne. It seems to be speeding up with Dragon Rush as well. repelling the other contestants.
Bob: Right on Hydeigon's tail, no pun intended, is Braviary. It is trying to approach the Pseudo-legendary.
JDLJDL: And then comes Skarmory. Oh, it's using Automotize! That decreases its weight but also raises its speed. Hm, not the smartest move in the stormy weather today. It's also throwing Spikes behind it, which are landing on the Pokémon behind it. Smeargle is hit the most, but Crobat skillfully dodges the tiny Spikes.
Bob: The Pokémon are approaching the two major mountains of Pokélympia. Accelors and... What's the other one?
JDLJDL: I forgot.
Bob: Ah.
JDLJDL: Yes.
Bob: Mhm.
JDLJDL: Oh, looks like the Pokémon are caught in an updraft over the mountains!
Bob: Hydreigon doesn't seem to be affected much, nor is Braviary, but look at Skamory!
JDLJDL: It really should not have lowered its weight. Just look at it careening... it's going to crash into Smeargle! Oh, Smeargle just fired an Ice Beam. Skamory is frozen and falling... Oh, and Smeargle used Sunny Day! An area of 3 cubic meters around it is now devoid of rain and wind. Smart move.
Bob: Yes. Braviary over there just used Tailwind. As the Pokémon are flying against the wind however, Tailwind only neutralizes the wind for Braviary.
JDLJDL: But that is still an advantage.
Bob: Yes, yes.
JDLJDL: It uses Brave Bird! The move that matches its name, it flies upwards and bursts into a blinding red glow. Hydreigon seems to notice this. It curves its necks back and fire a Tri Attack. Braviary dives down and flies right through the middle of the Tri Attack! What skill!
Bob: What splendor!
JDLJDL: Braviary crashes into the dragon, knocking it downwards. Both of the Pokémon seem a bit hurt.
Bob: We're flying above the sea now. The wind is slowing down, but we're approaching a storm system.
JDLJDL: Braviary uses Sky Drop on Hydreigon! Instead of letting go, however, it tries to fly down to the water. Hydreigon takes a nasty Crunch into Braviary, and it flings Braviary down. The eagle regains control and flies up with an Aerial Ace. Hydreigon takes hold of Braviary again, but this time the bird uses Whirlwind to blow the dragon away. Both are flying quite close to the surface of the water...
Bob: The waves are about 4 meters high today, gotta watch out for those.
JDLJDL: Indeed. Braviary, focusing on Hydreigon, crashes into a wave, losing control for a few seconds. Hydreigon, on the other head, has three heads and dodges the wave.
Bob: But hey, what's going on behind them?
JDLJDL: Crobat flapping its wings like mad. They're tiny and do not do much against the strong headwind, however.
Bob: Oh, we're here at the monument! 10 kilometers left, but with a huge headwind.
JDLJDL: Braviary, Hydreigon, and Smeargle are the only ones left. They seem to be flying higher... into the thick clouds.
Bob: I don't think they want to fly up, it's just an updraft and the heavy tailwind dragging them up.
JDLJDL: Maybe. Let's follow them.
BOOM
JDLJDL: Look at that lightning!
Bob: It roasted some of Braviary's feathers and hit Hydreigon. Well, Hydreigon doesn't seem very hurt. It IS a dragon type.
JDLJDL: Smeargle smears itself with mud via Mud Sport.
Bob: Smart move again.
JDLJDL: It looks like Braviary is using Sky Drop again, but it's not moving at all?
Bob: Ah, it's using Hydreigon's weight to drag them out of the clouds.
JDLJDL: Last 5 kilometers! I can see Pokélympia!
Bob: Smeargle used Sketch, it copied Sky Drop! Now two Pokémon are dragin the dragon. Smeargle uses Ice Beam on the dragon. Hydreigon's HP seems to be in the critical range.
JDLJDL: Lightning strike again! Critical hit! Hydreigon fainted!
Bob: Wow, last two Pokémon. Smeargle uses Ice Beam again, but Braviary dodges it. The bird gets ready for a Brave Bird, and dives into Smeargle.
JDLJDL: Woah! Smeargle dodged it! And what's that? Braviary has a black splotch on its face and is tumbling down. Let's watch the replay.
Bob: Ah, Smeargle splashed some of its paint into Braviary's eyes. Very smart.
JDLJDL: Yes. Braviary is recovering though. The rain helps wash the paint away, and birds have a natural sense of direction and orientation.
Bob: >implying that will do anything because Smeargle already won.
JDLJDL: Okay.

JDLJDL: Hello, and welcome to the second week of Pokélympics, the Week of Power! I have to admit, I was more than a little fail in the previous week. You may have noticed that Long Jump and Skating events have not been done yet. This is to return to our normal schedule. Rest assured, the last two events of the Week of Speed will eventually be hosted. Today, Bob and I are at the Main Gymnasium of Pokélympia. My good friend Bill is in Gymnasium #2 and will communicate with us through this large plasma television. How are you guys, my generically named friends?
Bob: Not bad.
Bill: Pretty good.
JDLJDL: Alright. Here in the Main Gym will be the Lightweight Weightlifting event. Over with Bill is the Middleweight event. In both events, each contestant will be given a large, light board. They will raise up it to at least their height. Weights will be added to the platform with an interval of five seconds. The first weight will be 50 kilograms. After that, 25 kilograms will be added until the total mass is 150 kilograms. Then, 10 kilogram weights will be added until the Pokémon buckles. Shall we begin?
Bob: First up is Flarsable's Weavile, Ninjaweasel. Now, that Pokémon doesn't look like it's very powerful.
JDLJDL: No, it doesn't. Weavile are great with quick and short strikes, but something that requires continuous strength like Weightlifting, I don't know.
Bob: Well, it has just lifted up the board with relative ease.
JDLJDL: I can lift up the board with relative ease.
Bob: Touché. First weight added, 50 kilograms. Weavile seems okay.
JDLJDL: 75 kilograms.
Bob: 100 kilograms.
JDLJDL: 125.
Bob: 150! Huh, who knew?
JDLJDL: 160. Weavile looks like it can't take any more...
Bob: 170... Oh, nope. 160 kilograms!
JDLJDL: Not bad. Next up is Warmonger. Now, it's getting into position ABOVE the platform?
Bob: Yes. It will lift the weights into the air by flying.
JDLJDL: Alright.

Bill: You know, I really like how both events are happening at almost the same time, and I'm always in the one that is the "secondary" event, you know? So I don't get any screen time?
JDLJDL: Okay.
Bill: Anyway. Bowser is currently first, it lifted 320 kilograms. Flipper is tied with Swampert with 300 kilograms. And in third place we have Bisharp, or Checkmate with 275 kg. Up last is Concreteman.
JDLJDL: Let's do watch them do this.
Bill: In the middleweight events, the first weight is 150 kilograms. After that, 50 kilograms are added to 250 kg. 25 kg weights are added after that to 300 kg, when 10 kg weights are then used.
JDLJDL: 150 kg. Oh, ConcreteMan lifts it without any pressure.
Bill: 200 kg. Still looking good.
JDLJDL: 250 kg. How heavy are those pillars it always carries around, anyway?
Bill: I have no idea. We should study them sometime. 275 kg.
JDLJDL: Did you know that Conkeldurr has the highest Attack out of all fighting-types? 300 kg.
Bill: Yes. Wow, 310 kg and it hasn't even broken a sweat.
JDLJDL: Spoke too soon. See that bead? 320 kg.
Bill: 330 kg. It won and still looks... fine.
JDLJDL: 340 kg. Oh, not anymore!
Bill: 350 kg. Wow, it changes fast. Smiling one moment, now it looks like it can't take much more.
JDLJDL: Yep. 360. This seems like its limit?
Bill: Let's see. 370 kilograms. Its legs bend slightly, but oh! It stands back up straight!
JDLJDL: 380 kilograms! Oh, no? No. 370 kilograms.
Bill: Very good.
JDLJDL: Yes.
