My character did not actually choose Comolten in a lab but found it stuck in a tree after a tornado. Is that allowed or dose he have to get Comolten same way other trainers would?

I'm sure they would allow it, as long as it is on level five and know only the moves it learns on and before level five (no egg moves either.)
