This is evil and I believe you just said a bad word. But you're Staff, and of course you know the rules, so I wonder why I even bother saying this.

O_O Not everyone has to participate, just those who want to. ^_^ I say Gen IV cuz III and earlier had different mechanics. Also, we just play Nuzlocke challenge and record what Pokemon we caught (which route, lvl, and nature), which Pokemon died, (where, when, and final lvl) and when we quit/lose the challenge (where, when).

Also, Coolsteph, what'd I say? O_O

I believe Coolsteph is referring to you saying that if we are "boned" then we're boned.

A while ago I did a Nuzlocke of LeafGreen, and it was really a lot of fun. It's hard, but it's kind of a rewarding experience. Losing a Pokemon is really tough, truly.

Indeed, I am actually in the midst of doing a Nuzlocke in FR. I'm at the second gym, I also started one in Emerald just a few minutes ago. I'll use the Emerald. ^.^

I once beat a Red version with just a Venusaur alone without it ever fainting, I managed that because of all the experience I have had by trying to beat my Yellow and my (now lost) Silver version within a day. Blame the lack of extra files in the game; THAT was my "second file": starting a New Game and rushing through the game without saving! In Silver it was with Typhlosion, in Yellow it was with Pikachu and Butterfree. By the time I beat the champion I always turned it off before the game was saved. XD I was crazy, but they were great experiences.

That said, for now, count me out; first, because the spare Pokémon White version belongs to my bro and I respect him and his progress (which has gone farther than mine by now... drat), and second because this is the first time I don't overpower one, two or three pokémon and rather use a full team of six, and I'm now at the champion.

Oh and when doing your challenge, keep in mind that Reshiram/Zekrom must be caught to progress.

That doesn't matter, because they're the only wild Pokemon in the area they're found.

My concern is that they were legendaries though, but later I read that it doesn't matter.

Been considering Nuzlocke challenge, I do have a Pearl and Emerald that are fully emptied of anything useful. Or HeartGold after I'm done with my current team of Growlithe/Vulpix/Dratini, which I self-imposedly will not evolve(hard enough when you get to later gyms/E4).

Can't do it in White though, not since I transferred all my prized pets to the fifth gen already and Nintendo is still stubbornly sticking to that one save per game-thingy.

I do fear that I will cause myself to go heartbroken roughly five billion times during it since I do get attached to my pokeys :/

When life gives you lemons, you steal the sugar and put it on salt shakers.

For extra awesome:
If you have the luxury of using Action Replay, use a code that randomizes the Pokemon that appears in tall grass.
I tried that once on an emulator on White... Skarmory on Route 1 woohoo! But then Oshawott died from a Darmanitan on Route 2. D: *RAGEQUIT*

I livestreamed a Nuzlocke about a month back, it was super fun. It was on Emerald, and we had some sad deaths - my Gulpin and my Skarmory in particular. I'm at Victory Road, but I stopped playing... maybe I'll start again.

I'm doing two at the moment: Emerald, and FR.
So far I hit a snag since I started with Charmander, lost my paras and am at the second gym. HOLY MOTHER OF ODDISH.

Emerald is in a good position, I'm recording that one for a comic. :3
