I've been coming across some references to what seems to be another region called Selenica, I wanted to ask: is this region part of the Bombur plot or was it the region setting of a bygone RPG?

Bygone RPG. Selenica was located a few countries west of Johto on the same landmass. The RPG was set a century after the events of the Nintendo games and anime.

Oh gosh, Selenica. Reminds me of my long-lost RPGing where I would RP other people's characters and write only in script form oh my god that was like 8 years ago

This is the first time I've updated my Yuku signature in at least 4 years. In fact, last time I updated it it wasn't even on Yuku. That is all

We really should make a second region for PF (Not better or worse then Bombur, just a new continent) or bring back Selenica just for PF, but meh, we can do that in the future. ^^

It would solve the apparent overabundance of Pokemon in Bombur. Maybe for the fifth Generation. I was considering basing a region off Southeast Asia or the Coast of Normandy in France.

Now bringing back characters or villains from past games seems to be all the rage: Pokémon Black and White, Final Fantasy IV the After Years, Megaman 10 and Dragon Quest IX (which seems to win by bringing back all the final bosses from Dragon Quests 1 through 8, beat THAT!) even Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Kirby's Epic Yarn did this with some enemies and stages. I'd say we include some trainers or even villains from that region to this one, even if its post game, err... I mean post Pokémon League.

We kind of did bring back old villains. The Mongrules were a gang of pokemon thieves and ne'er-do-wells in Selenica, and I believe I remember seeing they can be encountered in Bombur as well.

What kind of Pokemon do they use? From the sound of it... Dark, Poison, Normal, Fighting, maybe Magic or Dragon?

The Mongrules are essentially the same sort of characters as Jessie and James. The three members of this gang of wannabe crooks have one pokémon each unless the plot requires them to have something else. They are, on average, about as successful as Jessie and James, too.

In addition, there are also a few Legendary Pokémon that played roles in Selenica and may also appear in Bombur...but tht's pretty late-game stuff as far as Bombur's concerned, so I've said all I'm going to on that.

You know... We still don't know what the Bombur E4 look like... I already thought up one for my fic (which is in limbo until I have time to write.)
