Chawp seems the best name. Perhaps it can be based on more obscure martial arts? For example, tahtib is an Egyptian martial art form based on beating the daylights out of an opponent by thwacking their head with a stick.

Firstly, the info seems too complete for a Community Works suggestion. These usually start with a picture or a concept.
Second, if we continue with this, I must say its fighting style is WAAAAAAAAY too obscure. I think something like Krav Maga would at least be identifiable by regular people. A nicer alternative would be using an Asian Fighting style, specifically East Asian ones to better fit in with its Judo and Karate brothers.
Third, if this goes overboard with relatives, can we at least make it green? (RBGY) :P

I agree with Cacapulse. The fact that you have final information a day after the posting with not even a page of suggesting things doesn't look like a concept. Also, am I the only one who thinks that pulling a straight Hitmon is a little over the edge?

Of course, you could also make a two-stage Fighting-type line unrelated to Sawk or Throh... and use the tahtib style as a base. When unrelated to Nintendo pokémon, their base can be more obscure, I think.

Oh I like that idea! The prevo could be the Stick Wielder PKMN. And you could call the evo something like Staftib (STAFf + tahTIB) or something.

Chawp sounds better. Also, what if its hand is a stick (ie; Gallade's arm blades), meaning one of its fingers has molded into a natural weapon it uses to defend itself Tahtib style?

Also, speaking about the Cargan Desert and Goodwill Passage, those sound like good places to put such a creature, since it is based off an Egyptian fighting style.
