Tough call for me too, but my vote will go to Rotom. True I have a Ampharos in heartgold, but rotom is one of the few electric types that can naturally avoid ground attacks, and that in gen 5 its formes gain a new type (but i dont like the fan forme either way).

Also, I openly despise any and all "legendaries," so even if I didn't specifically like Mareep's line, I'd still vote it out of spite.

technically, rotom isn't considered a legendary pokemon; it may appear it is but it is not. Here are a few reasons why:

#1 it can breed,
#2 its stats aren't what you would consider legendary, and
#3 it can be used in the battle frontier facilities (i know that u can use certain legendaries in these facilities as well).

My vote goes to Mareep as well. Its line is one of my favorite lines of all pokémon. It's perfectly worked out with the diminishing wool and its typing is so fitting.

With that, Mareep beats Rotom with 13 to 10 votes. Mareep advances to the next round!

The thirteenth contestant carries its yellow, molted skin around its legs, making them resemble pants, although some of the skin seems to trail off to form or cover a tail. It raises this skin all the way up to its neck in order to defend itself. The thirteenth participant is #BW559 Scraggy!

Scraggy faces off against a classic Pokémon. It is known to be rather docile and reserved. However, angering one can result in being poisoned by one of its toxic spines. These are thought to have developed to counteract its small size. The fourteenth participant is #RB029 Nidoran♀!
