Although work is still going on on the sketches of the winner of the last Random Pokémon Contest (Revivathan), it's about time to hold another one!
As the title of this topic already suggested, we're going to do things a little differently this time around. Instead of mixing Nintendo and PF pokémon like before, we'll be holding seperate contests for Nintendo and for PF pokémon. The reason is that, no matter what, PF pokémon will always beat Nintendo pokémon in the end, just because they will get an updated sprite and Nintendo pokémon will not. Seperating Nintendo and PF pokémon will allow for voting truly based on popularity. (So, yes, the next contest we hold will be an all-PF pokémon one ^-^)
The winner of this Random Nintendo Pokémon Contest will, along with its family members, receive its very own SuperDex entry on the site!
So, on to the rules!
16 randomly chosen Nintendo pokémon are ready to face off against each other for your popularity-votes:
- post the name of which pokémon your vote goes to, based on which one you like best. Note that your vote should not be determined by the outcome of a battle between the two pokémon, just vote for your favourite one;
- and, tell us why you like the pokémon your vote goes to best.
The first contestant is a pokémon that was created by ancient people. Not used to modern humans, it lives secluded amongst ruins. It seems to have many eyes and can float indefinitely by using telekinesis. Its arms appear to be used as cannons, and it's an expert at using Hyper Beam. The first contestant is #RS344 Claydol!
Claydol faces off against a new pokémon, one that is said to keep the fire inside its body burning by eating many sweets. It is able to scatter the fire from inside through its head and tail and deal severe burns to its opponents. It's an expert at using Flame Burst. The second contestant is #BW514 Simisear!
