Background: Grew up in Snowpoint City, Sinnoh. Due to the extreme temperatures there, every family kept a fire-type Pokemon. Chris's family had a Houndour, bred to not know any attacks, except for simple things like starting a fire. Chris and his Houndour spent a lot of time together, and because of this, developed an affinity for fire-type Pokemon. When he moved to Bombur at age eight, he was already eagerly awaiting the day where he could visit Professor Idaho's lab and get his first Pokemon.
