Why is Magic super effective against Fighting but not very effective against Normal? If something's normal, it should be in more awe at seeing magic tricks than a thing that is used to trying to be faked out.

Also, the Bird trio don't share a weakness.

I've always wondered why Ice isn't super effective on Water. Cold enough ice freezes water so... why not?

I always pondered about that too. Wouldn't the fishies instantly freeze from an Ice Beam 100% of the time?

Also why is Rock so dang effective on everything? It seems to have affected the PF types too. And it's weird because rocks seem like the most primitive kind of weapon one can think of.

Ah, but that's the Fridge Brilliance of it. Rock is the first weapon, and tool, and the foundation of the beginning of human intelligence. Thus, Rock-type should be honored as such, given a place of such power.

Why does Poison have so few things that it is strong against offensively.

I think Poison used to be super effective to Bug (Gen I only methinks), probably referencing pesticides; which is logical enough. I don't know why that effectiveness is removed though, perhaps the Bugs in the pokemon world are even more adaptable compared to real world bugs.

Hmm, I didn't know about the Bug-being-weak-to-Poison-but-it-was-removed-later thing. Well, at least they don't make Poison-type unbeatable.

Another Poison related thing: Why so few Poison types? Poisonous animals and plants exist so very abundantly in real life, practically every square mile of livable land that isn't in the tundra has a poisonous thing!

Actually, I originally thought that Bug was weak to Poison. And I didn't even have any Gen I games o_O

I have wondered the same thing for a very long while. Poison is awesome, and therefore my favorite type! However, it has a very disappointing, and to me counterintuitive, list of offensive strengths. Perhaps PF could fix that? Please! XD

Why is Light so susceptible to Fighting? I mean, light cannot be destroyed.

EDIT: Browsing through the new moves archive, I noticed the move Spirit Bomb in the Psychic category. Why isn't it in the Ghost category? I mean, Spirit Bomb. For a minute I thought it said Spiritomb, which elicited a "Whaaat?"

Also, I like the "in-game" text for Poof!, very funny.

Anyways, I believe spirit bomb is typed psychic for a good reason. Spirit can refer to ghosts, but in this sense, it is talking about internal spirits, like aura.
