OS: Mac OS X 10.6.4/Windows 7/Ubuntu

Processor: 2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Memory: 8 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M

Display: Color LCD, 1280 x 800

VRAM: 256 MB

Built in iSight, microphone, speakers

*sigh* I want a custom built computer, but my parents say buy it myself. Then I ask, "Would it be just mine, like my laptop?" And they're all like, "Hell no, it's taking up our space, we get to use it too." So I don't wanna buy the parts. Q_Q

It's a discontinued laptop and I want a newer one, but it does have some nice features... I really want a bigger hard drive. Mine is full, and I somehow broke the terabyte external hard drive I had bought.

Mac club!

I've got an iMac from 2007 (7,1), getting old now but still going strong. He's called Perappu.
OS: 10.6.4, need to update
Processor: 2GHz
Memory: 4GB DDR2
HDD: 250 GB
Graphics: ATi Radeon HD 2400 (crap, 128MB VRAM haha) at 1680 x 1050, plus external Cintiq at 1280x800.

More recently though, we blew my girlfriend's university grant on a new gaming machine for her, as her old one was BSODing twice a week and the HDD sounded like castanets:
OS: Win 7 Pro
Processor: 3GHz
Memory: 4GB DDR3
HDD: 500GB
Graphics: ATi Radeon 5770 (awesome 1GB VRAM, so jealous)
This cost less than £500 for a full custom setup, which was awesome.

@ Bonzai: I FRIGGIN HATE AMERICA! *cries* (Microsoft charged me a ton just to update) Anyway, jealous of your girlfriend, and I'm intensely jealous of both yours and JDL's mac systems (although I'm not sure how JDLJDL is using three different OS. Best of three worlds there. Three computers or a Virtual machine?)

Bootcamp's not a virtual machine; you partition your harddrive and decide which operating system to boot into. Partitioning splits one HDD into two (or more).

It's basically having multiple operating systems on one's computer. None of them have a priority, none of them existing within another. Just multiple computers, only in one. When one starts up, one chooses which computer to boot into.

EDIT: Since we're on the topic of computers...

Verticoal, a Mac OS X 10.6 Theme! Dock, Dock icons, Folder icons and various featured programs not included.

For those who like the older Tiger theme, there is also a brushed aluminium alternative.

Wow, that sounds harsh... my parents aren't like that at all. Well, they do tend to use my computer whenever I get distracted, but they give it back if I request it. The specs:

Processor: Intel Core i7 930 (4 cores, @ 2.80GHz)
Memory: 8GB DDR3
HDD: 1TB
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT (1GB VRAM)
Display: Color LCD, 1400x900
OS: Windows 7 Professional

The difference is, a virtual machine runs inside another operating system (hence the virtual part). An emulator is a virtual machine, likewise things like Parallels and CrossOver. It's slow and crap because the operating system has to translate everything it does to interface with hardware.
Bootcamp actually installs the operating system on your hard drive, turning one computer into two. It's not virtual, you are actually running windows (or whatever) on your hardware.
