Technically these are more of a blend of prairie dog, black-footed ferret and coyote characteristics than the characteristics of 'toy' domesticated dogs.

How about these for Pokédex entries?

Prairet:
Despite playful looks, it is stern and hard to faze. It expresses indifference by scratching itself. (100)

(Note: the dust twisters are Sand-Attack in tornado form, manifesting as such to allude to the twister-prone conditions of the American plains. It cannot---naturally, anyway---learn Twister.)

Hmmm...as I am waiting for the English version of Black (or) White to familiarize myself with the environment, I cannot relate Yooterii's availability with Nidoran. Perhaps not the first route; maybe the third.

Coyoneer and Crokoyote: No Range Punch, Hi Jump Kick, or Vital Throw. It is not Fighting-type.
However, Crokoyote can keep Submission. It fits its intrepid quality, even though it is not a Fighting-type, and should be brute and uncomplicated enough for a Normal-type to feasibly learn. It is like Steve Irwin wrestling an alligator/crocodile, although he is/was a karate master or professional wrestler. (a Normal rather than Fighting-type, so to speak.)

Quicksand makes them too Ground-type, however. Like Furret, they merely have a casual association with, not affinity and elemental inclination of, the ground. They are not particularly skilled burrowers, either, so Excavate might be inappropriate as well. Crokoyote does not/barely ever digs at all, so it would be even more inappropriate for it to learn Excavate. They also lack the skill for AbrasiveWind, and an environment resembling the American Great Plains/scrub desert might have few abrasive winds as well, making it fit them less.

Faintfear strikes me as embodying more of a paranoia rather than a unfazed desire to survive. Thus, Crokoyote would probably have Faintfear not as a level up move, but as a more disembodied move relearner move.

Prairet is more like a prairie dog, which cannot howl, than its evolutions, so no Howl. Growl or even Poker Face (considering how unfazed and stoic it is) might be more appropriate.

Frenzytackle is defined as "User enters into a psychotic rage." They are not particularly wrathful, and not psychotic either. No Frenzytackle; Take Down, which even Eevee can learn, is sufficient. Overdrive is defined as the user forcing its body beyond its limits. This is not characteristic of the line. Slam is defined as "the user is slammed with a long tail, vines, etc., to inflict damage." Slam would be appropriate for Coyoneer and even Crokoyote by evolution association, as Coyoneer has a long tail suitable for slamming into things. Prairet does not have any suitable limb, however.

I do not think that Crokoyote is warlike enough for War March, either. Is Davy Crockett particularly warmongering?

Smooth Over is described as "It stamps the ground and attacks anything nearby" and is learned by Pokémon dissimilar to Prairet. (Geodude, Rhyhorn) Skull Bash is not appropriate for the line either.
