I was just walking along in the forest one day, when I got pulled up by my feet in a noose. I couldn't see much, just some vaguely hominid shapes running about, speaking some strange language. They cut me down and ran, leaving me confused on the forest floor. anyone else seen these? I don't think these were your average pokemon...They seemed too organized...

Psychology/Sociology:
They live in a close-knit tribal society, much like that of early Native American and African societies. The village is led by a group of elders, warriors, and shamans. These leaders are selected based on a mixture of bloodline, physical and mental acuity, past achievements, creativity, and apparently "divine inspiration." (see below) These Pokémon are also apparently one of the few Pokémon species that have a religious belief system. They seem to have a highly variable pantheon from area to area, but generally have the following archetypes, and depending on the most revered deity in a particular area, some types of moves other than those on the basic list may very rarely be known by encountered Tribiro:
They seem to regard humans with a sense of awe, and often mistake them for spirits known as "manuso," and have attitudes ranging from fear to respect to hatred. (often blaming spirits for the death of a loved one, occasionally rightfully) They rarely encounter them, but when they do they are careful to avoid making transgressions, for fear of "angering the gods."
Their society is neither patriarchal nor matriarchal, and, as previously mentioned, is a semi-theocratic tribal oligarchy-meritocracy. Their economy can vary widely from village to village, but is generally a traditional economy, with shells, colorful stones or a barter currency system. They are also one of the few Pokémon species known to regularly crossbreed in the wild, and often have villagers of lower standing who are Abra, Machop, Mr. Mime, or other humanoid-group Pokémon.
Humanoid Egg group
Found in many types of areas, although they prefer Grasslands, Caves, Mountains, and Forest.
Flarsable: I don't go to the forest much anymore. But I remember on one trip I found what looked like a small house made of wood, too small for a human house. I think they might of made that.
Greek Freak: I saw these things. I saw a group of them working together in perfect harmony, sharpening wood. I also saw one holding a staff and Mareep sitting near it. Once they noticed me, however, they tried to bombard me with arrows! Perhaps they learn Magic Arrow naturally? I managed ot get away, with only a few scrapes. I then gathered an arrow and took it to my home lab, and swiped a small swab over the shaft, to avoid getting my DNA mixed with it. I'm identifying the DNA right now, though it could take some time. I'll try to maybe get a sketch of these sometime also.
I was walking (carefully) through the same forest, and stumbled upon a small hut that exuded an odd smell. I quietly entered, and found another one of these creatures, bent over a mortar and pestle, grinding aromatics. He (I think it was a he, as it had larger canines and hands) must have heard me, but instead of attacking, he gave a welcoming gesture. I sat down on a grass mat across from him, and he offered my some roasted grubs. I graciously accepted, and in return, I gave him half of my peanut butter sandwich. He was a little curious at first, but then he took a bite, tasted it, and the rest of it was gone in just a moment. Then he walked to a wall, pulled down a small object from a shelf. He then proceeded to take out a bone knife, carve my face and his into it, with a small symbol that looked a little like this: 友 and placed it on what looked like an altar. He chanted "Amek! Tribiro ke manusos esmee amek!" I think that meant something along the lines of "I and human are friends! This leads me to believe that they definitely speak a language and can be reasoned with. I also learned the shaman (I think he was a shaman) can cook a mean grub. on my way out of the village, I spotted some villagers, whom I decided to call Tribiro (TRIBal + wÏRÓS [Proto-Indo-European for Man]) watching me as I left. I waved goodbye, and they, uncertainly at first, and then enthusiastically responded in kind, smiling and waving as I did.

They seem to have a highly variable pantheon from area to area, but generally have the following archetypes, and depending on the most revered deity in a particular area, some types of moves other than those on the basic list may very rarely be known by encountered Tribiro:
- Wise(wo)man (Psychic/Light) [Real-world parallels: Odin, Saa, Athena]: this god is the most common, and also has the most
variable standing. In the more mystically oriented villages, they are
often held in higher regard, while the more practical ones tend to
downplay them. This deity is most often at odds with the Trickster, but is often also the Trickster's best friend.
- Trickster (Ghost/Normal/Bug) [Loki, Hermes, Eshu]: This god is often a foolish one, that is often
credited with being the cause for many inconveniences, but are also
often shown to be the most intelligent, and most creative. They are held
in the highest regard amongst thieves and nomadic tribes, but their direct worship is often looked down upon. Often a small pittance is given on this deity's altar before a journey.
- Earth parent (Grass/Ground/Rock/Steel) [Demeter, Ki, Geb]: this goddess is one of the most revered gods in
sedentary agricultural villages. this goddess can range from ever-loving
and kind, in calmer grassland and forest areas, to temperamental and
vengeful, often near volcanic zones. Most often prayed to for a good harvest, or to have healthy children.
- Water deity(Water and/or occasionally Ice) [Poseidon, Amimitl, Boann]: this one is the most nebulous. Can very from a
Tsunami man to a Dew Spirit, and in the frigid areas, replaced by a Frost Giant.
- Sky deity(Wind/Electric) [The Four Winds, Amun, Njord]: This one comes in two general "flavors", for lack of a better term. One is that of a warrior, banging a huge drum before a battle, thus explaining thunder, with his spears being the lightning, in the manner of Zeus, and the other being a god of change. The change can be like a calm breeze, moving the lightest of seeds, or a chaotic tornado, ripping up all in sight.
- Death deity(Ghost/Magic) [Hades, Grim Reaper, Freyja]: Tribiro do not fear death, as most humans, but simply acknowledge it as a part of life. the god of death is usually a shepherd, an a kindly old man, helping to lead the dying into the next world.
- Deity of Wrongful death(Ghost/Dark/Magic/Poison) [Osiris, The Jade Emperor]: Distinct from the normal death god, in that this god represents the premature death of the living. Often seen as a murder god, a god of waste, and often associated with fire or caves, this god is the one who "catches" the souls of those who die before they are meant to, so they may bear witness at their killer's trial in the afterlife, in front of a jury of (Exact estimates vary from tribe to tribe, but the general consensus is 108) ancient Tribiro spirits. Those found guilty are doomed to feel the pain they inflicted in life for an eternity. Those found innocent are sent to "Tribiro Heaven" and their families receive a sign of the verdict either way.
- Warden of the Heavens(Ghost/Light/Magic/Psychic) [Asteria, Zorya]: Often a spouse of the sky deity, or occasionally of the death deity, The Warden watches the stars, sometimes tossing up a new one, or taking down an old one to clean it, and adjusts them to reflect the future. He/She also watches over the souls of good Tribiro in their equivalent of Heaven. The exact details of this "Tribiro Heaven", or "Kem'Elom" vary widely. Kem'Elom often has various levels, the bottom being for your average "Joe Schmo", and the highest being reserved for the greatest heroes, and the gods themselves. the definition of "greates heroes" also varies widely.
