As he ran away, Lance was amazed at the power's possessord had gained. "I think my sword just learned two more attacks, but what are they called?" He felt stunned. "This should definitely help at the next gym."

"Which reminds me, it is time to leave." Xavier said, while packing up his first-aid kit. Myga buzzed up to his shoulder, and Fyllo scampered to gather berries. The pair packed up the makehift tent, and left off for the next town. While traveling the route, Fyllo hurriedly rushed back to them, reptilian arms filled with delictable berries. While Lance and Xavier munched on breakfast fruit, they chatted about what Pokemon they liked, what place they'd like to visit, etcetera.

"I like strong and graceful pokemon," Lance said to Xavier, "Ones that know when to attack and dodge at precisely at the right moment." Lance thought for a second, "As for where I'd like to go... Permafrost Point. I want to catch a snorunt there and evolve it into a froslass. It seems very graceful to me. What about you?"

He chomped down on a sandwich as he awaited an answer.

"Well, I really don't have much of a preference, but I like Pokemon who can hit strong, and hide good. Like this one Pokemon I heard of, Sparret, that can dig fast and is a rather strong adversary. I think they live somewhere near here." Xavier chatted peacefully. He looked around, and bit down into a dry yet tasteful Chesto Berry. He then noted a small hole, and the smallest hint of a tail. "I think that's a Sparret den!" Xavier then muttered excitedly, not wanting to scare the Pokemon. "Myga, fly into the hole and see if there's anything in it." Myga buzzed off of his shoulder and onto the ground, trying to stuff herself into the opening. Sadly, she failed, and silently floated back to Xavier in dissapointment and shame. Xavier, somewhat mad, shook of his flimsy jacket. He sprawled across the forest floor, and shoved his hand into the small crack. His arm rubbed against the dusty den walls, and got a few scrapes from sharp rocks. His hand felt a little fuzz. It was a tail! The Pokemon nipped at his fingers, and he grabbed it. He heard a small chitter, and he pulled his find out of the opening. It was actually a small Chipen, who threw a walnut at his face. Xavier set the little squirrel back down, crestfallen. "C'mon." He muttered. Xavier walked off, grabbing his backet and shrugging it back on. Then, he looked up ahead, and his face lit up. Standing right there was a Sparret.

Xavier gestured at Myga, who zoomed behind a few bushes, lurking in the foliage. "Fyllo, attack it." Xavier said, hoping his plan would work. Fyllo charged at the limber rodent, who bounded away towards the bushes gracefully. "Supersonic, Myga! Then Tickle and Peck it!" Xavier shouted. The small flying bug burst out of the protection of the leaves, bouncing off sound waves as she did. The Sparret then looked around in confusion, wondering where the sound was coming from. While distracted and Confused, Myga shot out her proboscis and started licking the furry rodent. It looked at Myga, who then buzzed off to the side, the sound waves still echoing through the forest. While Sparret was worried and superstitous, Myga swooped in and jabbed at the animal with her stiff needle-like mouth repeatedly. The Sparret, despite taking a fair beating, was not going to quit just yet.

The sparret sprayed sand out with a sand-attack, causing Myga to loose altitude and Fyllo to go blind. It then used quick attack on Fyllo before it could wipe the sand off.

(I'm trying to catch a Sparret. I really, haven't been in the mood to RP for a while, either.)

Myga, while slowly falling lower, decided to use this to her advantage. She dive-bombed the Sparret, ready to Peck. The attack hit, but with not much force. Myga slowly buzzed to the ground, and slumped, looking defeated. Fyllo, on the other hand, tried to Drain Punch the small rodent again and again, only to be tackled with Quick Attack. This little Sparret was smarter and faster than both my Pokemon, Xavier realized.
