Xavier's face darkened, and he whispered, barely loud enough to hear. "My family in Hoenn...." His eyes started to tear up, but he forced it back. It had been a year. A year living by himself. A year of nobody to comfort him, nobody to help him.

"You came here from hoenn all by yourself?!" Lance was surprised. "That is a true form of commitment." Lance paused, "I actually traveled the world a bit myself, and caught a few pokemon here and there. But none will ever replace the one you started with."

"No, I didn't come by myself. My family took a vacation, I went out exploring a nearby forest, got lost, and when I came back, they were gone...I found my way to Shard Town, and built a meager hut with help from a few Pokemon. I've lived there for a year." Xavier said grimly, still whispering. He absently rubbed Fyllo's leaf-like scales. Xavier then noticed that the sun was starting to set. "C'mon. Let's go ahead and put up the tent."

Lance was even more stunned, "I knew something was special about you. What kind of materials do you need?" He pulled possesord from his scabbard and held it. "Truth be told, I never camped out before. Mind teaching me?"

"Sure." Xavier said. He pulled some sticky strands of silk out of his bag. "Can you go gather some large leaves?" Xavier asked Lance. Xavier then walked over to a tree, pulled of a long straight branch, and attatched the silk strands to it. He waited until Lance came back with the leaves, and then put them on also. He continued this process, until they had a workable shelter. The put it under a tree, just in case it started to rain.

"Alright, I'll get big leaves." Lance walked off and found giant leaves at a large height. Lance positioned possessord as he was going to throw it. "Use gyro ball to bring down those leaves."

Lance threw possessord as it started to spin. It then spun faster and faster as its blade glowed a blue sheen. Possessord spun into the leaves as they were cut from the branches.

Once Xavier and Lance had both set out sleeping bags, Xavier heard a buzzing noise. He looked outside, and saw several Midgellet. He turned down the volume on his pokedex, and heard the information about these Midgellet. He then sent out Fyllo. "Fyllo, Tackle one of those Midgellet." Xavier whispered. Fyllo charged at the smallest of the Midgellet, and the others fled. The one he had hit, however, was very angry. It chirped, and small yellow sound waves appeared. They bounced around, but missed Fyllo. "Fyllo, Growl at it." He now said. Fyllo started a rough grating noise, which Xavier assumed was his version of a growl. The Midgellet bobbed in the air in annoyance, and flew straight at Fyllo, proboscis extended. It rammed into Fyllo, who shook wildly. The attack, Peck, was strong against Grass. "Fyllo, Tackle it just once more!" Fyllo then charged one more time at the annoying bug. It landed a solid hit, and the Midgellet chirped in pain. It started flying lower to the ground, and Xavier rummaged in his pockets for a Pokeball. Once he found one, he tossed it at the Midgellet.

Shake...

Shake.....

Shake.......

Xavier anticipated, hoping the small bug would be captured.

"Apparently, this little bug is female." Xavier said, looking at its Pokedex entry. He tossed the Pokeball, and the Midgellet came out. "I'll call you Myga." Suddenly, Myga took off into the forest. A few seconds passed, and it came back with three small berries, blue juice all over its face. Xavier plucked the Oran Berries from Myga, and gave one to Lance and Fyllo each. Fyllo devoured his quickly, while Xavier nibbled slowly. Myga suddenly came over to Xavier, and took his berry back. Xavier chuckled, and went back into the tent. Lance and Fyllo following. Myga was too jittery to sleep, so it buzzed around the tent, as quiet as possible. Xavier returned Fyllo and fell asleep.

Lance rested possessord next to him as he also slept in the tent.

The next morning, Lance woke up and brought out a pokenav. "Shoot, I forgot to update it when I was in the lab... I wonder." He connected the pokenav to the Tuloh dex, and both made loud beeping noises.

Xavier was already awake, and was annoyed by the sudden noise. He had woken up about an hour ago, and could not go back to sleep. He had walked outisde for a little while, and had tried to go back to sleep, but was unsuccesful. He looked over to Lance, and saw him connecting his Pokedex to a different gadget, one Xavier remembered from Hoenn, a Pokenav. "Could you turn that down, or better yet, off?" Xavier asked, clearly annoyed. Myga then buzzed loudly, and Xavier jumped. He looked outside, and saw someone there. He went outside, to greet them. Then he remembered a face, but with a bruise. The person smirked, and Xavier jumped back into the tent. He told Lance.

Lance came outside to see the comet grunt. "Guess what? I came back, and this time, YOU are dead!" He laughed manically. "Go Mysteroid!" He threw a pokeball and out popped a rock with tentacles.

The mysteroid then grabbed Lances arms and legs. "Xavier! Get my scabbard quickly!" Lance yelled.

Xavier, worried, ran inside the tent, and threw out the scabbard towards Lance. Possesword was already out by the time Lance caught it. Then the comet grunt turned towards Xavier and laughed. "Hey! You shouldn't miss out on the fun either!" He then sent out his Comolten, who rushed towards Xavier, and Scratched. Due to the extreme heat Comolten made, the scratch didn't draw blood, because it cauterized (however you spell it) before it bled. But the heat was enough to give him two-deggree burns alone, and he bent over in pain. Myga, suddenly defensive, flew over to the Comolten and started attacking wildly.

When Lance grabbed the sword, he had a smile on his face. "Aerial Ace!" Lance swung his sword around, getting out of the Mysteroid's grasp. He stepped back and grasped possessord hard. "Leave Xavier out of this. It is between you and me."

"Possord!" the possessord bellowed.

The grunt laughed. "Yeah, right!" Suddenly, another grunt burst out of the bushes. Grunt #1 tossed Comolten's Pokeball to Grunt #2, who then started to command it to battle Myga. Myga, despite receaving no commands, fought off the comet Pokemon easily. The first grunt's Mysteroid started Constricting Possesword, but was easily shook off. After some time, both Comolten and Mysteroid were defeated. The grunts looked very angry, and suddenly, a large Pokemon appeared. It was made of bluish-white fire, and a large metal skull. Both grunts jumped on the skull, grabbing the horns. The Pokemon roared loudly, a deafening noise. "ASTERRRRROOOORE!!!!!!" It then took off, towards Xavier and Lance. Myga retreated, and so did Lance with Possesword, but Xavier was to distracted by the still-searing burns on his arm to notice the silent movement. At the last moment, the Asterore turned away, but it's firey tail still flicked dangerously close to Xavier's burns. The boils on his arm burst, and gave him another, larger burn, but more severe. Xavier cried out, howling in pain.

"Possessord, use pride shot!" The sword and Lance glowed pink as a giant beam from Possessord hit the fiery dragon. It then retreated to the sky, not to be seen. Lance soon rushed over to Xavier. "Hold on buddy, I'll help you!" Lance pulled out his dex to see what levels Myga and Fyllo were:

Myga- 6

Fyllo- 8

"Myga, use tickle softly on the boil. Then Fyllo, you use absorb to shrink it." They both nodded. Myga flew over and used a long tongue to massage the boil and loosen its tension. Fyllo's absorb shrank the boil to half it's size, but it still seemed severe. Lance then used possessord to cut the large leaves into an arm cover, and placed it on Xavier's arm. He then put possessord in his scabbard and linked it to his belt. Lance lifted Xavier and put him on Lance's back. "Hold on tight!" Lance then darted to the nearest pokemon center with Fyllo and Myga following closely behind, with Xavier limp on Lance's back.

((Actually, it is Myga. It is Greek for 'fly', as in the annoying bug as well as the ability to fly.))

Xavier winced as the makeshift cast was put on his arm. He waited, in pain, for the Pokemon Center to appear through the trees. Myga, as if to comfort Xavier, nuzzled against him.

Out of the corner of his eye, Xavier saw a building. Prism City, he thought dully. Xavier then thought he heard that horrible scream from the Asterore again, but he was sure it was just superstition. In his mind's eye, he saw a flicker of blue flame, and winced.

Xavier got to a hospital and showed Xavier's burnt arm. Doctors raised Xavier on a stretcher an took him through a backroom. Lance, Fyllo, and Myga waited outside.
