Thanks for clarifying that EP. I don't think many people are a fan of the first evo of it, it's too retarded, the poor thing.
Do we prefer this version?

I'm still not totally happy with it. But it's an improvement. I wish Nintendo would go through the same kind of improvement with some of theirs, I can't stand the Black & White water starter's (Mijimaru?) face :P

EDIT: Fire Tiger's final stage. I didn't get the proportions quite right, but you get the idea.

Yes....Mijumaru is a good Pokémon, simply styled improperly. The face is not bad, but why must that nose be there? That makes it look like it is trying too hard to be cute.

Final stage: You should color inside the lines more, to make it look less jagged and rushed. I can imagine the combination of the Smilodon fangs and mustache looking well, simply not in that proportion and style.

Yeah, it looks rushed because it is rushed, basically :P It was more of a first draft than a final.

What do you suggest I do with the teeth/mustache/whiskers to get them looking right?

Not rushing it, for one factor. Spacing it apart and carefully coloring it, so the line of the mouth does not extend into the whiskers. Alternatively you could make the whiskers thinner and higher up, or get rid of them altogether.

The big cat with meticulously cleaned up lines, shaved off moustache and extensive dental work. For it's name, Blazaber (BLAZe + sABER) or possibly Balzaber (unintentional misspelling that sounded kinda good)?

A tip - when drawing teeth, don'r draw comletely solid lines - it makes the teeth look dirty. Still, it looks much better.

...why does the final stage for the Grass-type evolution appear to have pincers for talons? What kind of Pokémon can make a bite mark like that on the fin?

The square jaw pokemon: this pokemon has square jaws which make a bite mark like the one on the final stage of the water starters.

Thank you Oran, for the compliment. Apparently these other people I call my colleagues and friends are too rude to give those :P

I must say you have a good point about the leaves though, Flarsable. It has been so long since I've worked on this that I forgot all about the leaves!

As for the "bite marks", they are just ruts in the fin... To make it look more awesome. And I guess the talons are a bit strange looking, but oh well.
