hoppergrass is about 11 inches tall and is a grasshopper pokemon it has three pairs of green legs it also has 2 wings and a pair of antennae it evolves into mantisprey which also has three pairs of legs but is more like a preying mantis it has two clawed arms similiar to a mix between scyther and sciscors in that it is like blades with a joint and another blade making a pinching claw it has two buggy eyes and a mouth that closes sideways mantisprey also has antennae and both have the mouth

Yeah, definitely Bug/Grass or Grass/Bug!

Swarm sounds great too. Also, Hoppergrass is a very nice name ^-^

If possible, I'd move away from the praying mantis evolution, though. We already have Bug/Psychic praying mantis that linger in the Staff Room (which, come to think of it, would work great as counterparts to these). I'd say grasshoppers are cool enough on their own to serve as basis for a two-stage line. Maybe Hoppergrass shouldn't have wings, while its evolved form does?

Now Fern, what is its type and moves? Information on its abilities and behavior? Pokédex entry? I could try formatting one for you if you provide enough information to work with.

....I considered that, but then realized that having associations with Feraligatr would be better than associations with Mardi Gras.

No, you should not swear. But it certainly would make sense that they could, considering the strumming motions and sounds they make with those leaf-like features on their bodies.

No, offense, but I think Hoppergras isn't veyr creative a name/ It'd be like making a sandworm Pokemon and naming it Wormsand. If this were more complete I could think of another name, but that what happens when it's Community Works.

Groperhass or Gropperhas is still a better and more original name for a grasshopper. Maybe Happergras (Ha, japanese for leaf,+Grasshopper twisted), Goina (Igano, japanese for grasshopper, twisted), or Purantoper (Puranto, japanese for plant,+Grasshopper). Out of those, Happergras is my favorite. It keeps the original idea with a little billingual bonus for those japanese speakers.
