It has (probably) become abundantly clear that I am more than a bit opinion-heavy on my posts, to the point where I get almost flamey defending my(or someone else's) opinion. Sorry for that. I thought I'd explain a bit just what ticks me off.
Bad grammar is one; whether it is intentional or not, it immediately, subconciously, causes me to see the post itself in lesser value. Call it cynicism from being part-time recruitment officer of a WoW guild, I guess - bad grammar and less-than-well-thought opinions tend to go hand in hand.
As you saw recently, Balls-With-Eyes. I'm a rather creative person by nature, and I really don't understand how someone cannot think of anything more creative than "umm, ball of this element, and... that's it!". I try to help, but that is the point where my inbuild sarcasm, cynicism and brutal coldness strikes in(I should really just learn to shut up in the case of such suggestions); the "help" often comes across as something else. But those suggestions... I'll quoth myself from earlier:
I'm a visual person; I like to be able to imagine what the pokemon looks like. If the visual description is one line and still manages to catch all the (intended) physical features, the pokemon will end rather bland-looking. So please... instead of putting such amounts of work on exact movelists and types and evolution methods, try to also catch the visual sides. And while it's even less prominent, try to think of said pokemon's typical nature/attitude and why that is. The more you can think of the pokemon's habits, easier it is to imagine and come to the same conclusion as you did while imagining it.
But in short: if I am caught writing near-flamey, ranty wall-of-texts that have nothing to do with the suggestion(s) in question, feel free to tell me off from the topic. I'm not very good at noticing when I do that myself. If I have things to rant about regarding suggestions in general, tell me to rant over here instead.

But really, it's not so much about the type combo. It's about the goddamn "ball with eyes" complex I have problem with. Pokemon like that are not fun, nor relatable, nor interesting. They are so freaking bland that my creative side of the brain falls asleep at the mere idea of it - and I generally *like* designing pokemon's looks, as you might have noticed. It could be [insert interesting and less-used type combo here], and it would still be a goshdarned Ball With Eyes that is not really a pokemon in my opinion, just a chunk of... of... I cannot even of think of a word to describe the utter lack words to describe such a thing with!So yeah, they really just irk me in a way nearly nothing else in pokemon does. Although the utter worship of Dragon-types comes a good second. Bleah.
Sure, suggest more BWEs if you want. Give them utterly original and never-used type combos. But they will still be rather unrelatable, single-motive, boring as all hell-type of suggestions that will never catch my interest, and I think I'm not the only one.
