((Alex is back in Labyrock. Ad you're still on the roof of the apartment building. I can't really post right now because I can't control your characters, only the grunts he fights.))

Lucas remembered that Alex went back to Labyrock, and rode the elevator down the building. He left the front doors, and stood on the sidewalk in the shadows.

"Hey kid." a voice called. Lucas turned around before being tapped on the shoulder by someone behind him. He turned aorund again to see two grunts wearing red uniforms. "Sone kid, prowling through the streets?" one of them remarked. "Oh! And look at this!" the other one said. "It's an Official Junior Officer's Badge!" "What'cha gonna do? Arrest us? Oh, not without a fight!" the first one said. "Yeah! A fight!" remarked the other one. They then threw out some Poke Balls and out came a Tablare & a Firmole. "Tab!" called the former. "Mole!" cried the other.

Award for Extreme Patience
Always hotter than the competition. I got the award for Braving the Marquee of Doom!

Lucas tossed out Mesmer and Spinner's pokeballs reluctanctly, as the fire pokemon were strong against Spinner and Mesmer was weakened. "Spinner, Ingrain! Mesmer, Swagger!" Lucas called. Spinner's roots dug underground, and some snaked around Mesmer's feet. Mesmer's insignia started to spin, and it grew larger. Tablare started to look slightly woozy after that.

"Hoohoohoo! Look at that! A Grass type! Firmole! Take it out with Ember!" said the second grunt. The Vent Pokemon sent out several small red flames out of its top which flew towards Spinner. Meanwhile, Tablare started stumbling about. "Try a Scratch Tablare!" the first one called stupidly. The Pokemon dashed towards a building and crashed into it in its confusion instead of scratching a target.

Spinner's leaves spun to try and get rid of the hated fire. It hurt, nonetheless. "Spinner, use Absorb! Mesmer, use Swagger again!" Lucas yelled. Spinner and Firmole started to glow green, and energy passed through them. Some of the healing energy traveled along the roots of Ingrain and up into Mesmer, refreshing him just a little bit. Mesmer's insignia spun and it grew in size. Firmole was looking at it at the time.

Firmole the started spinign dizzily too, "Oh dang it partner! Both of our Pokemom are cofnused? What should we do?" said one. "Run!" replied the other.
"But there's no running from a Trainer battle!" explained the first.
"Says you!" the other exclaimed, and took out a Smoke Ball. They recalled their Pokemon and he used the item, creatign a large smokescreen. When it faded, they were gone. Mesmur & Spinner gaiend experience! Mesmur & Spinner levelled up!

Lucas looked around after the smoke had cleared, and coughed some. He continued to prowl the streets, a little carefuller now.

"Yeah." Lucas said. He walked down to the large building, opening the door quietly. He slipped inside, and saw a plaque on the inside. 'Welcome To Silph Co.' it would probably say, but it was defaced and now said 'Team Tempest HQ'. Team Tempest was in gray paint, while H was red and Q blue. Lucas stepped onto the first stair carefully, and shuddered when it creaked noisily. He walked up a little more, albeit carefuller. He then heard shouting and stood stock still.

((One: it's Tempat, but Tempest is much better, as it wasn't pulled out of someone's butt. Thanks for that! And, uh, they aren't using the place as an HQ but as a technology factory))

The shouting was coming from the second floor, where a person who looked oddly like a Team Rocket Admin wearing a maroon outfit who was yelling at some scientists. "Work faster, you brainless morons! Team Tempest needs high-quality Silph Scopes and they're not going to make themselves! Proton isn't paying me to watch you slack! Get a move on!" he commanded, afterwards walking up more stairs to yell at more scientists.

Silph Scopes? And who's Proton? Lucas mouthed, careful not to make a sound. He slunk out into the hallway once he was sure whoever was yelling was gone. He peeked into the room of scientists and computers, seeing them sweating and typing codes. A Castform was in a plastic tube, which simulated weather effects. The poor thing was shuddering and constantly changing forms. A large machine was whirring, and a stack of disc-like items were coming out of a hole in the robot. He quickly withdrew his head, breathing quietly even though his lungs demanded more air. He ran as fast as he could without making any noise past the door, but the Castform so him. It squeaked, and a scientist muttered. "Stupid thing..." He said, then a sound of crackling electricity was heard, followed by a scared whimper. Lucas shuddered, and reached the stairs, slowly walking up to peek around the corner.

((I was trying to imply that they are forcing an unwilling Castform into transforming into as many varieties as needed, also shocking it if it disobeys them, just to emphasis that they are evil villains. -_- And please don't tell me when I'm being ambushed, I like just a little surprise in a story.))

Lucas saw nothing of major importance or need, so he walked carefully down the corridor. All rooms on this floor had closed doors, but they didn't mask the sound of constant typing and whirring machines. He reached the end of the hallway without much incident.

Lucas walked up onto the next floor, and heard Mesmer, who was crawling on his back, whimper unhappily. Lucas stayed behind in the shadows, waiting for something to happen.

Mesmer made sure to keep quiet after hearing the grunts. Lucas slowly lurched onwards, looking inside a room. It was completely empty, and appeared to have what looked like a more advanced dumbwaiter. He walked inside the room and closed and locked the door. He slowly slid into the dumbwaiter, made of metal. He pressed a button that said 'Top Floor' and slid the door shut. The machine creaked upward, and eventually reached the top. Lucas opened the door just a crack, and again saw nobody. He stepped out, locked the door, and started planning.
