((You can't control Glairnus. Was that not in the rules? *goes to go check* So, uh, let's just rewind. I'll just say you told it to use Tackle.))

Glairnus was hit by the Tackle and got knocked over. Still confused, the world above him was spinning. Frostmelt thought about the situation and decided on a weird command. "Glairnus, stall." he said. Glairnus was too dizzy to figure out why, but he really didn't care, and just laid there.

Lucas didn't know why, Frostmelt wanted to have Glairnus stay in the same place. He knew it was part of underhanded trickery, however, and instead told Mesmer to prowl the area around Glairnus.

After a bit of laying and prowling Glairnus got up. It shifted into neutral and launched its makeshift Blue Fire (Ember mixed with Powder Snow) at Mesmur. "Like what I did?" Frostmelt remarked. "By staying still, Glairnus managed to get over its confusion. Best part is," he laughed, "you didn't use this opportunity to do anything!"

"I think I did the correct thing. If I let Mesmer attack, it would grow a sense of safety and relaxation. By staying alert, it would be ready for anything." Lucas explained. As he did so, Mesmer easily dodged the make-shift attack. Mesmer then Tackled the humanoid figure.

Glairnus wa despised at Mesmur now, and it dodged the Tackle with ease, but it wasn't done yet. As it parried the attack it grabbed hold of Mesmur, and threw it to the ground. It then started charging up a stronger makeshift Blue Fire.

"Mesmer, use Swagger!" Lucas called. Mesmer tried to, and succeeded, but Glairnus was to distracted by trying to make the Blue Fire again to notice the attack, so it didn't get Confused. Mesmer tried to struggle to it's feet, and managed to. Mesmer didn't want to Tackle again, for it feared that Glairnus would do the same thing again. He instead ran around Glairnus, switching directions often in hope of a Confusion.

Glairnus, after making the fake Blue Fire, noticed Mesmur run to the other side of it. It thought Woohoo! Bowling time! and turned around and threw the ball at Mesmur like a bowling ball.

Mesmer chose to face it head on, trying to spin it's insignia. The Blue Fire hit the spinning spiral, reducing it's power somewhat. However, Mesmer, being reptilian, was racked with shivers from the cold and gasps from the heat. It's body tempature changed rapidly, and it caused slight dizziness. "Mesmer! Tackle!" Lucas shouted, concerned for the sake of his pokemon. Mesmer charged blindly.

Glairnus was not amused, and sidestepped out of the way, and then launched a Powder Snow at Mesmur's exposed back.

Mesmer was hit hard in the back, but the hit knocked him to his senses. Lucas noticed this, but Glairnus appeared to not notice. Lucas decided to use this to his advantage; "Mesmer! Lay down!" Lucas shouted. Mesmer did so, feigning confusion. He waited for Glairnus to do something.

As if I can't hear him. I already tried this technique, bozo, it thought. Charging up its Blue Fire, it went in closer to finish it off.

Lucas tried to hide his tricky smile, and succeeded. He waited until Glairnus was right over Mesmer, then shouted. "NOW MESMER!" The Dizard immediately rose up, and Tackled the Glairnus, slamming it against the ground. Mesmer was flailing around wildly, doing everything to damage the Glairnus. He bit and licked, screeched and even tickled, just to damage the humanoid pokemon. The swirling ice and fire elements around Glairnus was starting to burn and freeze, but Mesmer never gave up the wild attacks.

Glairnuswa ssuprrised by the sudden attack, because it really didn't get that close, but either way it lost its focus. In an attempt to stop the wild craziness it used Powder Snow to try and slow it down.

Mesmer ignored the attack, even though it froze one arm. It attacked wildy, using the frozen arm to it's advantage, pounding the Glairnus with the extra weight. It was gradually weakened, but hoped that Glairnus' health was dropping faster.

Glairnus, although beaten, was tired of this crap. It did an all-out Ember on Mesmur, went into neutral and hit it with Powder Snow, then Ember, and so forth to punish the little demon.

The Ember burned the other arm, and Mesmer whacked away with both wildly, kicking and biting also. He was ready to go down, but if it did, it was taking Glairnus with it.

((Yes. I just didn't put them, as Mesmer currently cannot tell where the attacks come from in his enraged state and tries to ignore them, even though it is nearly out of energy))

Suddenly, there was a red light and Glairnus disappeared from underneath Mesmur. Lucas looked at Frostmelt, who was disappointed. "This is sad. You have to resort to using illegal moves in order to win against a single Pokemon. I was looking foward to a real battle. Not many people are as strong as you. I mean, what's up with those officers being given such weak Pokemon? It makes my job easier, but... anyways, kid, tell me when you're ready to fight for real. With those tactics of yours I don't need to get rid of you for you to be out of the way," he said, and then jumped off of the building.

"Come on Mesmer." He said, giving the suffering lizard various berries, which healed his status effects and partial amounts of his health. He then returned the small Dizard into it's pokeball, stuffing it into his pocket. Spinner sucked his roots back in and rotorred onto the top of Lucas' head. Lucas then went to look for Alex.
