I don't like the name Ghostorm. It seems to generic. How about Ghosquall (GHOSt+SQUALL, a type of bad storm) instead? And I'm thinking that maybe it could have a split breed thing like Miaundead that's ball lightning.

Give them Levitate or Static.

I think it is strange that the thunderstone makes the pokemon more ghosty and less electric. I think you should reverse them.

So are they Electric/Ghost or Ghost/Electric? Might I recommend Volt Absorb or Lightningrod as abilities for these.

Instead of Ghostorm what if we called it Thundread (THUNDerhEAD + DREAD)

ghosquall sounds better than thundread somehow and volt absorb sounds perfect because I was thinking of them absorbing the energy of appliances
as for the split breed ball lightning how would it be possible, should it hold something like a light ball?

I just thought of something for the ball lightning poke's name how about levitorb (levitas, latin for lightning + orb)

I think it would have to breed while holding Static Rock. It's a PF Item that raises how many turns Thunderstorm, Static Field, and Magnet Field last. And maybe Voltergeist can evolve via learning Thunderstorm? Seems more logical to me...

Can't do, we already have an Electric/Ghost type that drains energy from appliances. It's called Rotom.

Levitas doesn't mean lightning, it means lightness (in weight) or unpredictableness, that sort of thing.

If Levitas doesn't work, how about Tonnerb (French for thunder, Tonnerre+orb) or Fulgurb (French for lightning, Fulgurer+orb)?

@flarsable: rotom possesses the appliance it doesn't say anywhere that I have checked that it drains energy from the appliance.
@greekfreak: ok that means that we could use thundorb (the not original), fulgurb, fulgorb and finally tonnerb/tonnorb

How else can it possess it? If you combined its energy with that of the machine the power would overflow and the machine would explode. Rotom does not possess fried appliances. Anyways, you can't use all four names because you can't have a four-Pokemon evolution line unless you plan on having a split evolution, but there's no reason to make a split evolution just because you like four names and want to use them all.

Flarsable if you are saying that rotom contains the energy from both itself and the appliance the appliance would still be holding too much energy, am I right? And now allow me to point out that the names were idea's for the name of the split breed that is like ball lightning.

Keep in mind: this is pokemon. Any form of actual physics or science doesn't necessarily need to apply. The creators probably weren't worrying about what happens to all the extra energy when Rotom possesses something.

I'm kind of a thinking "yes" to this suggestion, this due to the type combo being pretty cool and the concept being pretty nifty (poltergeist ftw!)...

...but also kind of a thinking "no" because frankly I like my animal-based pokeys too much.

...this line would make a very cool one if it was based also on some sort of beastie(cat or dog or rat or emu or camel or...*grin*) AND electric poltergeists. But that's just me. *shrugs*
