"Yes." Akio said, answering for Mario. Then, Akio slashed his wand, and the glowing sword flowed out. He started spinning, and he shouted at Shade, through the turbulance. "Shade! Use Psychic!" Shade complied, outlining the spinning Akio with odd blue force. Akio then shouted again. "Now hit me with Dark Pulse!" Shade, albeit reluctantly, shot out several black rings, which all hit the levitating Akio. The blue force then turned black in some spots, and a single shadowy ring spin around Akio also. Akio then lunged at Mario and Luigi, with all the force he could muster, and hit them.

The spinning Akio charged towards them like a top. "Thunder Punch!" Luigi's hands sparked yellow. "Flamethrower!" Before Mario shot the flames, Luigi stuck his hands into Mario's arm tubes. The flames were the released, coving the thunder punch with a fiery comet-like stream.

The dual attack hit both Akio and Shade, but Akio did not stop. He rammed into the two, drilling into them, all the while slashing.

Luigi then punched the spinning Akio, making an explosive reaction, sending Luigi and Akio flying in opposite directions. They both landed on their feet.

"Now it's my turn," Shade told Akio. "Fire a Power Hex at me."

Akio did as told, firing the blue energy at Shade. Hermes, meanwhile, had found a small crack in the cave wall. He spun his arm around, creating a small whirlwind. It flew into the crack, as if it sensed something.

Shade then formed a shadow claw as the power hex hit them. The two forces mixed and Shade's hands turned a deep navy. He then ran towards Mario, ready to slash.

Akio, seeing that Mario would dodge, sent out DancingLights. They small orbs bobbed around Mario, distracting him. Shade managed to slash him a few good times, before he hit him away with a Fire Punch. Hermes heard a low humming noise from the crack in the wall, and looked around to see if anybody else heard it. They didn't.

Before anybody could get another move in, the floor shook and rumbled. A small crack split open on the solid rock, and heat seeped out. The floor shook again, once, twice, three times. ...purple ooze. It started bubbling, then formed into a large shadow muk. It towered over everyone, and used it's ooze to flood the group out of the cave. It somehow continued to grow and grow until it was 3 times its original size.

"Umm, how did that get there?" Luigi commented.
