Huh, that's really cool. I thought it was cool to begin with, but I thought the real face being on the chestplate was pretty awesome.

There are already plenty of knights in the archives, so make sure none of the evos are too close to those. Otherwise, this is a great idea!

Yeah, I basically took the primary "Knight Archetypes" from culture and RPGs and the like and collated them. I ended up with the Paladin/Guardian/Holy Knight/White Knight, Black Knight/Dragoon/Dark Knight/Berserker Knight, Magic Knight/Spellblade/Battlemage, and the non-Western Knight Analogue. Depending on how they turn out, one or two may get cut.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but there is already a pokemon that has a mouth in it's stomach; Dusknoir. Although it's not the same concept, it's similar so don't get too close.

It's design kind of reminds me of a Phantom. I all of a sudden have an idea for this suggetsion that's completely different from the one now that involves a complete design change and it evolving from Possessord when leveled up w/ Pyrlock in the party. I'll try to sprite it (yeha, i know I've said thta in the past withyout following through, but it's sumer now and I have much more time on my hands)

For, the name I think "Obscullero" sounds cooler, what do you think? Either way remember the "ll" in its name is pronounced like a "y", not an "l".

Yes, unfortunately the look of Obsallero doesn't translate to actually saying the name, which is problematic. It's a good name suggestion though, thanks!

I know, but the pronunciation is relevant when deciding the name, as it will stick like that for a long time (maybe foreeeeeeeeeeeeever, ok sorry). And sometimes people don´t really know how to pronounce the roots for its own name suggestion, until it´s too late.
I´m glad you do though. I just mentioned that in case you were going for an, um... "alloy-ll" sound in Obsallero which, as I said, it doesn´t have.
By the way, "Obscullero" would NOT be pronounced "ob-skew-yero" but rather "ob-skoo-yero" which rolls off the tongue easier.

May I try a picture of Paloydin and Obsallero? I might be able to have the picture up by tommorrow.

Edit: I got the basic, colorless picture of both done. I used some of my own ideas in the design, but it keeps the basic idea.

I can only find 8 sword move types,
Ice, Wind, Electric, Steel, Grass, Psychic, Fire, Bug. I'm thinking from sword colors that it was supposed to be either water or light, but I'm not sure.

edit: Oooooh, duel is fighting. Got it.

It isn't the most amazing picture ever, and it's pretty much identical to the one in the original post except for the swords on the head. I attempted to make them more representative of the elements, but I realize that the simple swords in VL's picture are the way to go. Also, it would be rediculously hard to sprite the swords either way, so maybe they need to be changed into something more... smallifiable?

@Greek Freak: Your drawings are nice, but they are done in pencil and colored pencil and then scanned in. Colored pencil looks nice in real life but the smooth colors the paint bucket tool on GIMP/Photoshop can give you look much better. I would suggest doing the outline in pencil, scanning it in, converting it to lineart and then coloring it on the computer. Or doing it all in GIMP/Photoshop.

Oh right, I forgot to mention I changed the way he holds the sword. It looks terrible, but I tried out a ball and socket type connection that is held by magnetism. It doesn't look as good as the hinge joint though.
