I really don't like Steel as secondary type, as "fitting" as it would seem - frankly, Steel as secondary type is... rather seen, and I like pokemon with actual weaknesses and not sporting a bajillion resistances. Fighting would be more unique, and in my opinion, fitting - Electric would be representing the "weapon" side, and Fighting the "wielder" side of this.

I'll try to get into drawing this line in it's entirety tomorrow, based on the ideas presented in this thread (and spiced with heavy amounts of my own, liberal, artistic freedom), see what I can come up with. I won't be able to reference this thread though since I am at work (I can draw for a while in there on breaks, but probably can't access internet), but I have the general ideas: try to spice the first two forms with a bit more "Tesla" while still keeping them from looking like 'droids, making Tesray like it was, but integrating the weapon better, and making Tescillator mostly like I described it earlier/like EP presented it. I'll see how I can managed this all.

Tescoil & Tesmitta:

On Tescoil, them horns was more of an afterthought than anything else - I realized he had Iron Head in his movepool and thus those cute lil' horns were created. His tail is the tesla, of course. Said tesla also keeps his mane and tailfur permanently frazzled, hehe.
On Tesmitta, made him more of a "middle form" ie, more between okapi and giraffe. His tailfur is not frazzled - upon evolution, the tesla became powerful enough to straight out fry any existence of fur on his tail - what is left is something between electric pokemon's flesh and metal, I guess. Looks kinda cool though.


Tescilator, the special beastie:

If that doesn't scream "special attacker" to you(particularly in contrast to Tesforce, below), I don't know what does. Took the idea of steam pistons on legs and ran with it, came up with a sort variation where said pistons are physically part of him. Tescilator's tesla is, of course, the most powerful of the family and pretty damn dangerous source of power. I like how his legs came out, both from design and anatomy perspective.

Tesforce, the brutal one:

Again, if that doesn't make him physically intimidating(to the point that he could easily sport Intimidate as ability, that thing is HUGE), I don't know what does. As with the pistons on Tescilator's legs, the teslas/weapon is very much part of his head, neck and shoulders and can be used both from range and to headbutt anyone who got too close, hehe. I hope this would be close to what we're after

PS: they are in scale to each other, at least the way I imagine them.

@TheNoob: okay, so I royally suck at drawing anything mechanical. You're free to try though if my design doesn't work for you...

As for Tesforce not being able to be a Steel type... that was intentional, as you might've guessed. And yea, any of the abilities you listed could work, and somehow Pure Power/Intimidate pair comes to my mind... while they certainly have nothing to do with Electricity or teslas... does the ability really have to?

On the other hand, if we want the ability to have something to do with their tesla nature: Static, Lightningrod (to an extent), Volt Absorb. Or we can always suggest a new ability with these.

PS. I could also see Anger Point or Mold Breaker on Tesforce for some reason...

I added something more to Tescilator, namely a frill or fan of sorts, around the shoulder region. It helps to deflect attacks, absorb(some of) the tremendous force that comes from beating the ground in *that* speedy(and precise) procession, and of course protect his ears from the terrible sound such motion would generate.

But I guess the pictures speak for themselves.
