I like the picture too. Imagine Ash seeing one fo these...he'd capture it, get licked, and die then become a zombie and kill everybody...If that happened, I'd start watching the anime again.

This could create some interesting zombie attack storyline for Pokengine. You have to get the Secretpotion to cure as many Infectedd and Zombear as possible before they destroy the city, using your trusty POTIONGUN. Resident Evil: Bearpocalypse in Olivine City. XD I'm honestly in favor of something like this. Maybe you can only cure them as Infectedd, however, (causing them to 'evolve' to normal Teddiursa) and once they're Zombear it's too late? Or perhaps they become a new pokemon entirely after being cured, which has a healing ability that cures the status of any pokemon that comes into contact with it? That would be win.

That's the basic concept I'm toying with for Kumakure. That it would be a branched evolution from Infektedd, the idea being that a Zombear is simply too far gone to save, like real zombies. I'll give Kumakure a crack tonight, perhaps.

Name: KUMAKURE (Kuma = Japanese for bear, Kure = corruption of cure)

Type: Light/Magic

Species: MIRACLE Pokemon

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 290lbs

Ability: Magic Guard / Natural Cure

Pokedex: It is believed to be a benevolent spirit of the Sacred Forest, embodied in a lustrous ursine form. Having endured tremendous trials, it has been judged to be worthy of great healing magic.

Description: A shining pearl-white bear, it stands tall, and is broad and powerful.

Habitat: KUMAKURE is a forest spirit, and as such is generally only found in wooded areas, though even then it is a very rare sight. As a peaceful creature KUMEKURE wanders freely in and out of the territories of other Pokemon, who let it pass by knowing that it is benevolent and would help them out if they were injured or at risk. It is said that the Sacred Forest has a particularly powerful KUMAKURE watching over it as the protector. The only time that KUMAKURE is seen to leave the forests is when these forests are at threat of destruction. When this occurs the KUMAKURE, as a guardian spirit, will venture out and attempt to confront the source of destruction.

Upon evolving it will automatically attempt to learn LIFE STREAM. (Alternate method, assuming location evolution is not allowed: Use SECRETPOTION on INFEKTEDD while it is at high happiness. It will automatically attempt to learn LIFE STREAM.)

I kind of imagined it as a magical forest spirit. A benevolent one. Hence Light/Magic. Easy enough to render it back to just Light though if needed, and swap a few moves around.

Ah, I actually get it now, saw the magic forest spirit part.
Although... part grass would be pretty cool, if it used herbs and berries to make medicine for the sick pokemon of the forest. Just a thought. Anyways, I forgot to mention I really do enjoy this idea as a whole.

Nah, Zombear is the big meanie. So now I imagine Kumakure as a big old white bear, except with some form of shaman-y medicine man look. Plants growing on him and all that jazz because he sits still in his little hut and makes medicine with the plants and is at one with nature. And maybe a long moss beard or something.

I was thinking maybe Kumacure has an ability that not only prevents him from all status (barring Flinch and Attract as they're not real statuses), but also heals the status of any pokemon that comes into contact with him or not. Shouldn't be too OP, depending on how good you make him.

That is ironic

But the evolution methods don't work. There is no such thing as the Sacred Spring; and you shouldn't have to use a Key Item to evolve a Pokemon. Maybe instead of the SecretPotion we could use a Eucalyptus?

That's too easy man, and you can probably get the Secretpotion again -it would be like if you went and talked to that guy who runs the Pharmacy with a Infektedd in first slot, he'll comment on it and ask if you want to treat it.

In Bombur Secretpotion might not necessarily be a Key Item, it could be a Medicine item with the same properties as a Full Heal, which can also cure terrible diseases like Amphy's and the zombie disease (only in early stages, however).

Maybe we could make an item: Water of the Sacred Spring. And you need to level up Infekted with it holding it. And maybe we could make it evolve into Zombear with a hold item too (flesh, anyone?

).
